A tough gig yesterday against a Dinno side that just kept on coming. Not much up front in the set piece and apart from their 10, not much out back but they did play well in support of each other and threatened to break through from picking and going. Ripon kept to shape defensively and came up trumps when down to 13 men in second half and Dinno still played it up the middle. Excellent oriental nosh post match made up for lack of warmth from hosts. Will be sure to show them a good time at return to Ripon. Female ref was a breath of fresh air - good communicator and in control of breakdown. A bit inconsistent around high tackles but overall, one of the better this season so far.
