Happy new year to all.

Dronfield vs Bridlington - two very physical teams, I think we can expect an attritional battle here. Low scoring game, with not much in it. Dronfield will edge it as they have the superior goalkicker, however if I saw a Brid win I would not be shocked. Dronfield by 4.

Goole vs Old Brodleians - the game of the day. 2nd vs 3rd and a real battle of a cultureless sports facility and a traditional rugby club. From what I have seen of the two vs Selby, I would expect Goole to have a little too much at home, however if Young Brods can muster more heart than they did vs ourselves, they could run away with the win as the superior rugby team. Old Brodleians to win by 2.

Malton and Norton vs Glossop - Malton will have too much here, I am just hoping Glossop can make it to the end of the season. Malton with a textbook 25 point win.

Moortown vs Selby - as mentioned, the underperforming Moortown will be disappointed with their first half of the season. They pushed us close previously, and I think they will again, but we will have too much quality. Dare I say we are a bit of a 'bogey' team for Moortown now after turning them over last year to stop them going up? Selby by 12.

Morley vs Scarborough - BRB, do you have much hope going into this one? Morley to win by 20 for me but do you have any Christmas presents to field? 🧐🧐

Old Crossleyans vs Rochdale - always a tough place to go. Rochdale to win but it won't be comfortable. Rochdale by 8.

Happy new year and welcome back to rugby.

Dronfield v Brid – Dronfield but not by many.

Goole v Old Brods – MOTD could go either way but with no confidence going for a home win.

M&N v Glossop – Bonus point wing for M&N

Moortown v Selby – Selby but not by many.

Morley v Scarborough – Another close game just going to Morley.

Old Crocs v Rochdale – Yet another close game but just a Rochdale win.

Happy New Year! A slate of very good games to get us back up and running in 2024.

Dronfield v Bridlington - Dronfield comfortable winners the first time they played but I assume this was before the new recruits on the coast. Dronfield to win by a try.

Goole v Brods - Could be a cracker. Backing a home win the first week back after Xmas feels safe but it is the toss of a coin.

M&N v Glossop - Glossop could have done with a nice home game to start the year to try and steal one. This will be tough M&N to do a very corporate job 30-3

Moortown v Selby - I've predicted it all year and have continuously been wrong but this is where the Moortown train gets going. At home after a couple of weeks off. A narrow Town win to get over the bogey team from last year.

Morley v Scabs - Morley continuing to falter in the run up to Christmas 1 win in the last 5 if my maths is correct. Unless BRB has some surprises up his sleeve they should be far too strong for a travelling Scarborough side but I just have no confidence in them running away with it. Morley by 10.

Old Crocs v Rochdale - I've gone for a home win in all the other contests so without any science behind it Rochdale to win by 3. It will be a mud fest at Broomfield - bring your wellies!

I'm sure that team that Scarborough has available will give it 100%.

As for Christmas presents to give hope...I got a couple of good books???
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.
