I think it’s a little quite on here tonight Selby must be picking their nose looking for bogeys.

Spitting feathers by all accounts.

Great game at Goole, really good side and good hospitality.

Last minute pen try snuck it for Brods.

Scarborough were unlucky not to win an excellent well fought match played in good spirit. (Despite the cards). Having said that, Morley's exceptional Dr Speed-Machine in the centre gave a game changing performance.

The excellent hospitality from Morley before the match was a good prelude to an entertaining match. Good company, catering and a very warm welcome..thanks guys.

When you are down in sport you just don't get the breaks. However, what a difference from this re-invigorated Scarborough team, all players were up for it and if it wasn't for missing out on 5 disallowed or fluffed tries it would have been a comfortable win (I know, I know, thats sport).

The five missed tries,

First half
1) player tackled into touch in the act of scoring a try with a no arms shoulder barge. On another day it would be a yellow card and penalty try (no criticism of the ref, sport is about interpretation)

2) apparently a forward pass despite the passer being in advance of the 5m line and the catcher behind it??

Second half
3) held up over the line (no argument)

4) dropped 10 yards out with the line clear in front (by a player with some of the safest hands I know) - (no argument)

5) crossing in the act of scoring (no argument)

I fully accept I'll get roasted for listing one eyed selective events from during the match (bring it on!) but I'm trying to highlight that Scarborough created multiple opportunities to score and on another day will have won. We haven't been creating many chances this season.

We will end the season wherever we do but if we play like this we won't be going anywhere without a fight.

Cracking game at Far Moss today. Selby looked like they were going to smash it after scoring minutes into the game and putting loads of pressure on the Town defence and I thought it was looking like a hiding. But the young Town forwards are a resilient bunch and came back to dominate up front.

Both sides exchanged scores when they got possession and it was tit for tat until Town got a couple of scores ahead at the beginning of the second half and they kept hold of the lead until the final whistle.

Thought the ref had a very good game and let it flow well - which really contributed to a high quality game. Although the second half must have gone 10 minutes over the 40, which was nerve wracking as Selby were desperate to get the win. A final long distance try from Moortown at the death made for an easier finish though.

Congratulations to both sides for putting on an entertaining display but especially for the home side who should kick on from this fabulous win.

Credit goes to all home clubs today. Amazed there isn’t one call off.

Everyone has had a tonne of rain and for all games to be played there must have been a lot of time put into the pitch by players, supporters and staff to get these games played.

Well done everyone.

Our back row was definitely on top of the moaning Moortown 8 - however I can't say the same for the Moortown Backs who ripped through with absolute ease. The locks helped with the platform to play. You can come out the woodwork now MM/Carl

I've heard Goole managed to shoot themselves in the foot against a dogged Old Brodleians outfit who ended up the deserved winners? Haven't heard much feedback though.

On another note, Kudos to all the other teams getting wins. Impressive from Dronfield to win by so many.

Is that the same back row that watched the last 10 minutes from the sideline after getting 2 yellow cards as well as Liam Hogan who went missing for most of the game, Followed up by a red card for your 6 after the game for the worst thing any rugby player could ever do…..

It was a pleasure to watch a young Moortown side tear through their “Bogey” team and get a 5 point win!

A lot of pressure been the top of the league and today Selby crumbled under said pressure.

Onwards and upwards for Town who seem to be clicking after the Christmas break.

You had an alright game buddy just by your standards I doubt you’ll have been happy with it! Especially after your hard earned 3 week break from rugby.

If what you’re referring to is true, and I would like the powers and players that be to be honest with the fans and members of the club, then I wouldn’t like to see that certain someone play in a Selby shirt again.

Some context and a statement is definitely needed and it’s nothing to be proud of if true.

I shan’t pass comment again until more is said tomorrow.

Good hospitality today and the ‘crowd trouble’ was nowhere near as bad as previously mentioned, just a raucous but fun atmosphere.

If you were a neutral at the Goole/Brods game today you were treated to a super game of rugby. Goole and Brods supporters went through a myriad of emotions. Brods started off on the front foot and spent the first 10 mins pressing the Goole line and eventually came away with 7 points. At this point you would have thought it was going to be Brods afternoon, but Goole gathered themselves together and came back strongly playing some lovely rugby and spent the next 60 minutes dominating the game and going into a well deserved 19-7 lead. Credit to Brods who after looking beaten staged a comeback to make it 19-14 with 5 mins to go and then continued to press the Goole line right up to the final minute when they got a penalty try and the whistle blew. Goole didn’t deserve to lose and Brods didn’t deserve to win but as in life things aren’t always fair and the result was 19-21.  So perhaps a draw would have been a fair result.

There was a very good atmosphere around far moss today for both sides which was nice to see.

On a serious note today was a very good game of rugby from both sides and the win was well deserved, Town just wanted it more and ill discipline let Selby down IMO.
