Bridlington vs Malton and Norton - 9th vs 6th - something a few probably didn't expect. A bigger game for Brid I expect however Malton won't take this lightly. Malton to edge this one by 4 points.
Glossop vs Moortown - Moortown have eventually it seems stopped picking their nose and have got rid of their bogey. Kudos to them at the weekend, they'll trouble teams in the run in. Seeing a bit of a return on investment must be pleasing for the higher powers at Moortown, it would have been an expensive 8th place finish.
Old Brodleians vs Dronfield - The Young Brods are punching above their weight, seeing their results each week remind me of the Rocky films, they're just hanging on in there. Not sure where this heart was when they played us but they seem to have found some from somewhere. Dronfield have dispatched a few teams this year and will be a stern test. They won comfortably in the return fixture so they'll have some confidence, but I imagine the Brods hill will soon put an end this. Brods by 8.
Rochdale vs Goole - MOTD. Rochdale seem to be favoured by a few to go up, I can see why with a national league 10. If Goole are to win they will need to be at 100%. If its close I can see class coming to the fore and Rochdale winning. Goole are going to be a real beast from the east when travelling west to Rochdale. A win win situation for me, Rochdale win and at least Goole lose. Goole win and at least Rochdale take a step back in the hunt. Rochdale by 3.
Scarborough vs Old Crossleyans - A must win game for Scarborough. If they don't win this then I'd say they're down, sorry BRB. Playing with desperation to stay up will only enthuse and inspire the local fans and players, it may be hard to get some of the imports fired up for this one. I imagine Crocs can sniff blood here, their only issue is their gutless defence that just leaks points. Weirdly enough, this could be the highest scoring game of the day. Crocs by 11.
Selby vs Morley - Do you gloss over the elephant in the room? I'm in no influential position to comment on any internal politics however my point stands, I would sooner not see the player in the shirt again (if true). Away from that, you have a club that is filled with excellent members and players, that promote strong rugby values from Juniors to Senior Mens and Ladies rugby. Wearing my heart on my sleeve, I still have us as league favourites and expect normal service to be resumed this weekend. Heard someone describe this weekend as Old Money vs New Money which made me smile. Home win by 18.
