I'd like to note to start that I have been made aware of a passing of a young gent who was formerly of Moortown. My condolences to both the club and family.

Goole vs Malton and Norton - Did not think this would be as big a game for both teams as it is, but here we are. Goole are potentially the more physical team and are strong at home. Malton will not like being under dogs here. Goole by 12.

Morley vs Old Brodleians - A West Yorkshire game that promises to raise a few eyebrows. There will be a slight confidence about Morley, with the Young Brods only just scraping along Morley may fancy their chances to cause an upset here. A 100% Morley vs a travelling outfit is tough for any team - its a long month after Christmas is January and the Morley players may be needing their brown envelopes, their big guns will be playing. Old Brodleians just to edge this by 4 points.

Rochdale vs Dronfield - JMOTD - I couldn't decide which would be MOTD this week so plonking myself on the fence. I am sure this game will be easy on the eye, with some high quality rugby; but please if you are attending I would bring some ear defenders. It could be a long afternoon listening to a back and forth between those not on the pitch at this one. Rochdale to win this one as they move into a title contending position.

Scarborough vs Bridlington - JMOTD - there is something about a seaside derby that gets the juices flowing. Fisherman vs Fisherman. Ice Cream Man vs Ice Cream Man. Pacific Islanders vs Pacific Islanders. Scarborough needed a win last week, and if a toothless Brid turn up then they may go 2 on the bounce. I fancy a draw here.

Old Crossleyans vs Moortown - is it on? is it off? I have been told it is now off - I wonder who has pulled the plug on this one this time? I am sure the likes of BRB and others in the relegation battle would like to know why this is no longer going ahead. Just get the fixture played Crossleyans.

I've got no reason to question the postponement of Old Crocs v Moortown. I'm sure there's a good reason and the match will be played at some point.

Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

Goole v M&N – Comfortable home win for Goole with a bonus point.

Morley v O Brods – A traditional mill town derby, league positions point to  Brods but I fancy a Morley win but by less than 7 points.

Rochdale v Dronfield – Close game but think home advantage will just decide it Rockdale but not by many.

Scarborough v Brid – MOTD A Yorkshire seaside derby and worth the admission money player availability will be the key. If Scarborough are near full strength then just a home win.

Goole v M&N - Goole to run riot at home, Malton to fizzle out down the stretch with one eye on next season.

Morley v Old Brods - Good teams win games they perhaps shouldn't. Last week they struggled to put Dronfield away but did, the week before they won it at the death, I can't see them losing this one but I think it will be another tight affair. Brods by 5.

Rochdale v Dronfield - Rochdale a very tough proposition at Home and on the run of three massive home games to set up a showdown with Brods next week. I think they win this by a couple of scores.

Scabs vs  Brids MOTD - Scarborough in danger of making it competitive down the bottom of the table with Brid falling off a cliff in recent weeks. I just don't see how the Brid mecenaries get any points away from home. Scarborough by a decent margin.

I have seen that Moortown were the club who asked for and were granted postponement.
