Is anyone able to shed some light on playoff this year and how it will work in the Merit Prem?

I understand in other merit leagues/tables it used to be a minimum number of games played to qualify?

Just with Billingham and Tynedale sitting in the top 4 having only played 5 fixtures in the league.

Why dont you bin it and get together with a few like minded clubs. Play each other four times a season and (if it suits) arrange your own "Merit table". At least that way the teams at the top will have played a similar amount of games to the others. I know it is a bit radical but to keep lads playing regular 2s and 3s I think its a possible way forward.

The Yorkshire clubs in the league have played plenty of fixtures.

Driffield, Sheffield, Heath and Sandal are all the top 4 for games played (11/12) and points. But the points per game system has 2 North east teams currently taking play off places having only played a select few teams in the league
