given you have only reappeared on here after Gooles recent rise (well deserved and noted by the way). I dont remember you having much to say over these past five years. It is therefore, I think, rather patronising to tell other posters basically "If they do not like what you say, go away and do something else".
Surely the point of all these forums is to have respectful discussion and ultimately understand each clubs feelings. I know I have made many "Rugby friends from many clubs over the years including Scarborough, Selby, Old Crocs, Keighley, Bramley, Ossett, Ripon, Ilkley to name but a few. I think your attitude shows a lack of respect to the people you criticise
No doubt you will tell me to get back where I belong (Y2) but its not that long ago you didnt feel this social forum worthy of anyone from Gooles time. How success changes people. Hmm
Ohh Ribman I try hard not to criticise or get into slagging matches with any clubs (nowadays) and my reasons for posting again is I have a bit more time available not a clubs league position or rankings. Talkischeap though keeps these threads alive has a bit of fun dangling a carrot many cant resist nibbling at. Then to read a comment from his own club member discouraging him to post feels disappointing and a shame as without members like him having a bit of fun these threads would be dead. Far too many sensitive Sally’s and your response shows you could be one of them.
5 years ago these forums regardless of what league you were in were typical rugby forums. Top banta, serious discussions and regardless if you’re players or spectators you’d then have a drink after the game and treat all the discussion as banta and no offence was taken.
When did all this change? People seem offended by the slightest comment and it’s what killed these forums.
Personally as a Goolie I’m not offended by talkischeap. No one needs to apologise on his behalf it’s simple banta nor do they need to discourage him/her from posting.
I wasn’t at the game today. I am fortunate enough to be in Rome, but if I were at home I’d be sat in the Selby club house spending my hard earned money, watching the Scotland game and exchanging banta and stories from years gone by when things wasn’t quite as serious as they seem to be now a days.
