I've been told by a reliable source that  Rochdale have been "not invited back" to the Crown Spa Hotel following an overnight stay after the Scarborough match. This was due to nudity in the hotel lobby/public areas and belly flop championship competition on Sunday morning in the spa pool!

🤣🤣🤣🤣 Brings back memories!

But tut tut...

I hope they performed better in the Belly Flop Championship than they did on the field.

A proper old fashioned rugby tour though!

The Belly Flop Championship was more of a one man Belly Flop Exhibition performed by one of our special supporters.

Apparently other hotel guests aren't fans of a late night rendition of a certain Creed song either. Considering we are so well behaved usually, the involvement of the women's team may have been the cause of the issue.

Was a great night after the disappointment of the loss and glad to hear someone appreciates traditional rugby values!

Tut tut to you BRB,   Whatever happened to the golden rule, "WHAT GOES ON TOUR STAYS ON TOUR".   Considering that this forum is read by many.... players, match officials, league Sec's not to mention parents of players.  It's not really "de rigueur" to put it in print, even to mention the team involved.  Tut tut indeed.  I hope they had a bloody good time, but we didn't need to know it.

A bit late for modestly I'm afraid, it's on the local hospitality and pub watch group!

Glad they had a good time, also glad they chose a decent hotel, even if they aren't welcome back. Although we were thrown out of a hotel mid tour when I was on a school tour....so Rochdale must try harder!

Many, many years ago I was on tour way down south in a quite posh hotel owned by John H Stracey, the boxer. He decided to join us in the early hours and things got very loud with lots of beer on the house.

Some guests came down wanting to complain to the manager. Stracey said "I own the place, so if you don't like it you can all **** off".

Now THAT was a hotel  :)

It is a shame to see that Rochdale have been banned from an establishment. Rugby is a game of discipline and respect on and off the field. Every team has the rugby banter with the culture of socialising and drinking. However, this shouldn’t go over and beyond to be banned from a hotel. Rochdale giving themselves a bad reputation doing so. But, I am sure, like most rugby clubs, they’ll have apologised and will prove they are not that sort of club to cross the line!
