Anyone else come to this? Good initiative, lots of school kids here (including mine).
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

The England players were brilliant with the kids and the day was super.

However the coaching session was terrible. They ran lines exactly how they do in matches. Far too flat, no invention, no deception from the non ball carrier and the skill level was poor.

Some of the drills were good and they tried to do things at pace but what they were doing was average. The England attack is based on three players running flat and next to each other close to the gain line and the one to receive the ball hitting it up. Wow, I'm glad our 10 coaches came up with that.

To finish on a positive, the players made a lot of effort to interact with the kids and that's a really positive step forward.
