If anyone at a lose end on Saturday, Scarborough host Driffield at Silver Royd for the Yorkshire Cup semifinal.

Both sides will be cautious with important league commitments but I'm sure it will be a good day.

I do fancy Scarbs to shade it. Nearly a local derby.

I'm not playing silly mind games....but we are resting some key players. League survival main priority but the players want to do well in all 3 competitions we are in.

The Scarborough team announcement only appears to have Ratcliffe wrapped up in cotton wool, so bound to be an exciting game.

It will still be a very competitive, talented and motivated team.

Scarborough on a great run, and league aside already had some great cup results.
Should make a great game

7-41 it finished.

Very cautious opening exchanges with lots of errors and mistakes. Driffield led 0-14 at half time and look the better side, but certainly didn’t look comfortable.

Game opened up in the second half, with lots of missed tackles from Scarborough, but Driffield making a lot of mistakes and not being at their best by a long way.

Scarboroughs 6 was a constant threat at the rucks creating plenty of headaches at the breakdown.
The colt replacement No. 8 for Scarborough coming off the bench for debut looked a very good player. Not just one for the future, he looked like a player for the here and now.

Can't argue with that assessment...

Lovely day with a packed ground full of rugby friends. I would be happy to play Driffield every week.

Differ....the colt you referred to played really well and that is particularly noteworthy as he has recently ended 3 years of treatment for leukemia and returned to rugby. He's been very open about his health journey so I'm not over-sharing.

Certainly a good news story, the cheer from the crowd as he came on I’m sure will be a great memory for him.
Looked a powerful player, and certainly not out of place on the pitch today. Very exciting prospect to have coming through the ranks.

That is a good news story that should be circulated to the wider rugby community. How refreshing to hear about it on here. Something that there is no controversy about from anyone, BRB Please pass on our best wishes to said player from us all at North Ribb. We lost a young lad 14 years ago after he scored two tries on his debut and we won at Brid. His passing was very sad
indeed, you should indeed celebrate a young mans recovery from a serious illness.
We at Ribb wish your club and especially the young player all the best. Please make sure he gets this message.
