Tried to find what funding we get for travel for the PPJ cup and have been unable to find anything.

Closest i got was that "Travel funding support will be available based on the same process as last year. More information will be communicated soon."

Fully expect we will be out of pocket as a club to take part in the cup just trying to work out how much it is going to cost us to take part this year.

TY - Looks like our 2nd round game will see the club losing £700 on cost of coach, what a great idea this cup is. Seems to me that the blazers at the RFU decided to try there best to empty the accounts of grass roots clubs so they could enjoy a nice day at twickers to clap themselves on the back !

On the bright side always good to visit a new club.

To be fair, the RFU has never covered the cost of all travel for all competitions...and nor should they.

Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

Would be nice if the travel funding kept pace with the cost of travel. You dont expect to make money on it but it should go a good way towards covering standard coach costs. It was not so bad a few years back when you got £300 towards a £500 coach bill, but these days whilst the £300 has stayed the same the coach bills are knocking on the £1000 mark.

Is it paid automatically or do we have to claim.

TIA

Think its paid automatically at the earliest 28 days after the comp as per an earlier post on this thread.
