Get a grip, listen to yourselves, you are all implying that referees are basically biased.

The referee on Saturday is known to Heath. We got our sponsor to meet him at Manchester airport after we had flown him back early from his holidays, having sent some money to his wife to have a good night out whilst her husband was enjoying our company.

This is the same referee we have had several times over the last 2 seasons at level 5. The same referee that has yellow carded numerous Heath players over that period.

What none of you know is that the game was attended by an ex RFU premiership referee who is currently one of some 18 official RFU citing officers. His comments to me after the game were that the referee and touch judges were very good and worked well as a team. They had also given up their Saturday to officiate and I would hate to think that there is any remote chance that they would read the drivel that has been posted on here, implied or otherwise, about them.

Talking of which one of the above paragraphs is not true I think even you lot might be able to guess which one...........hmmmm.

PS

Afraid I cannot answer the questions put by various Driff posters as to why they did not have official linesmen.By the way before you ask there was one yellow card for each team on Saturday

Well said "neverplayedstandoff"

Seems that the "The Small Club" from West Vale doing so well doesn't sit with some.

Heath were deserved winners on Saturday against an excellent Rossendale  side. Both sides played some first class rugby. Could have gone either way but the Heath defence was outstanding in the closing quarter. Match saving/winning moment,  Heaths number 15 try saving tackle and turnover with less than 5 minutes to go.
were you the ref?
All I can say, is that my wife had a belting night out on holiday while I enjoyed an evening of hospitality at the expense of a local rugby club.
😂😂👍

I thought we concluded that size doesn’t matter? Woody might start having palpitations again.

Plus following Heaths fitness “programme” they certainly aren’t a small club. Many of the squad have seen rapid growth over such a short period.

Testament to the coaching setup, of a more than adequately sized club, with a sufficiently sized pitch, that is able to attract national league players away from the above averaged sized pay cheques.

Just some lite 🎣 if it isn’t obvious, so no need to nibble. Tongue in cheek and all that!

Bang on DL!
Tongue in cheek of course!

Do wonder how many players in this league would pass the pxss test?

Very sad to see the modern state of rugby having teams lose and their players/ members moan and be sour. Sounds like differ”keyboard warrior”lad would be better letting the females in his house play the rugby and he do the washing up and social media slandering… very monotonous tones… differdouchebag- your correct username.

Being a local lad from Woodhead and seeing the heath squad develop from playing against them in their Yorkshire one days- I’d argue that little has been done to attract national league players. Developing the facilities as well as lads who have played over numerous years has well paid dividends, it’s a shame that progress like this is rather slandered than appreciated. Heath have very much delivered on one man’s trash being another man’s treasure. The old brodleians, old crossleyans, Huddersfield and rishworthians all featuring in their team from the weekend.

Fair play to see the majority of the north one east league topped by yorkshire teams as well as a quarter and semi final stage also meaning 1 Yorkshire team gets chance to emulate Driffs successes last year.

Pitch size, officials, paid players, yellow cards, testing… and all the other bitterness from the ‘sour loses’ really has made night time reading quite tiresome.

Here’s to hoping the semi final blows two quality games from last weekend out of the water down at North Dean.

Lastly… differlad… thanks for reading thus far, I’m glad you got all the way to the bottom to see me call you a douchebag once again. Douchebag.

Nibble Nibble.

For the part time posters who have come out of the woodwork at the end of what has been a fantastic season so far for Heath, welcome.

If you attended regularly you would know this was not the first time this season/ or last season/ or the season before my posts have had a pop at North Dean, not due to sour grapes or any dislike of the self proclaimed “small club” doing well, but because it generates so much activity, and becomes rather entertaining. So thank you for supporting my venture.

I’m assuming DAA and York haven’t had any success requesting a venue change on safety grounds following your overly excited post for the game going ahead at North Dean?

Serious question and back to the basis of the thread rather than baiting my tiny hook.
(Which I can guarentee doesn’t get as many responses as people only come out of the woodwork when on the defensive or being successful)

Now Heath and York are one game away from Twickenham do these clubs supporters/players favour the cup or the 14 team leagues?

14 team leagues all day long at every level.

14 team leagues all day long at every level.

With the cup, York have lost out this season, but only due to Harrogate and Yorks lack of use of a home pitch.
But Heath had a 12th and this weekend will have a 13th competitive home game. More than a 14 team league season. And I’m sure both games will attract much bigger attendances than a 12th league fixture against a less competitive opposition. And will certainly be a much bigger occasions. No denying that

Obviously with one game to get through and a chance of a Twickenham appearance, every player would like that opportunity.
I would prefer 14 team leagues with a straight knockout cup competition throughout the season. Preferably with revalued Yorkshire trophies. Finals day at Elland road?
But the organization and administration of the PJ cup is shambolic and needs to be binned.
And yes Heath at home for the game v York. Independent officials would be welcomed by both sides I suspect.
York very much the underdogs as Heath have the upper hand in recent fixtures.

Surely Differ Lad any 14 team league equates to 13 home games. My point entirely. Same for everyone. The cup does not guarantee a home fixture and then by definition more expense for travelling to away games.
