More history down the drain.

First it was Wales, with their Millennium Stadium becoming the Principality stadium for commercial reasons.
Then Ireland with Lansdowne Road becoming the Aviva stadium.
Now Twickenham has become Allianz.
How much longer will Murrayfield and Stade de France retain their names?
Does it actually matter?

Whether we like it or not the top end of the game is now professional and as such needs professional marketing solutions and partnerships.

They've already been renamed.But, Murrayfield has the name Murrayfield tagged on the end.
In effect few, if anybody, cares what the new title is, the grounds are aalways referred to by their familiar name. Eg, Murrayfield, Lansdowne Road, and now, Twickenham. (for those who can actually afford to go there).

Didn't know that - nor, I suspect do a lot of others! Shows what can be achieved despite sponsorship deals.
