Ossett 17 - 14 Ripon. No sour grapes other than with 15 penalties blown apiece, if the game had been allowed to flow more, both sides could have had many more scoring opportunities. Both sides wanted a win and fair play to Ossett, luck was on their side.

Thank god luck was on our side, a try in the last minute flattered the visitors for me but each to their own

A good performance from HLH,

They lead 23-10 at half time, thanks to 2 good try’s and the addition of gavin stead boot. He was knocking them
Over from 50m out.

Discipline again cost HLH conceding 12 points when having less men on the field than their opposition, Rhoundegians 10 and 9 began to show up in the second half with good performances eventually taking the lead with 5 minutes to go.

Poor discipline allowed HLH to go down the field and with the last play of the game, a tap and go allowed them to score in the corner to finally get that much needed win.

Let’s hope the boys can now build on this result

Good to see Gavin Stead back to his home club. Is that a reflection of issues at Otley or HLH finding some funding. I hope its Stead going back to his home club to help arrest their recent decline.

Tough day at the office. Fairly tight first half. Second half Din turned it up a couple of gears. Scored some good tries. No complaints, solidly beaten. Good luck to them for the rest of the season.

To be fair - "Bossett" played the wind and slope and referee better in the second half after Ripon won the first convincingly. Ironic that the ref chose to wear the shirt with Ossett emblazoned all over the front. Not suggesting any impartiality but perhaps a subliminal psychological impact?

I'm sure that if Ripon Knitted Goods or similar wished to sponsor referees' shirts, they would be welcome to contribute!

He’s not fishing he’s whinging 😂 you can’t come on here and complain then pretend it was done ironically.

However I am enjoying how lively that forum has got this week. Up the wakey wind ups
