A right game of four quarters against a feisty Baildon, who looked like laying down, got up again, then dominated and looked like sneaking the win while Ripon were down to 13 men (again). Good resilience from the Rugrats though and the breakaway at the end for the five point win was what Ripon needed and a cruel blow for Baildon as they were finishing strongly. Got to say missing out on a losing bonus point was harsh for Baildon. A couple of the visitors took some hard knocks and one was yarking all over the place, hope he gets proper head case support. Looking forward to the return. A note for the (very) young ref - good communicator and helped the game flow well initially. Not sure what his half time talk with the assessor was about but the second half penalty count was nearly three times the first and with three yellow cards, the game was very different. Both sides seemed happy at half time, so wonder if pressure to blow the whistle more often was exerted? Good lad though and sure to go far quickly.
