Some interesting games this weekend, its seems that a few markers could be put down..

Salem Vs Rochdale - Expect Salem to get a BP win here. Rochdale are a very good side but not the biggest.. Salem will bully them on their small pitch.

Donny Vs Weth - Big game for both sides!! Donny looking to get off the foot of the table & Weth are trying to look up rather than down. Tight game that could be settled by a single try or Penalty - Wetherby (just)

Town Vs Ol Crocs - Town are good at home, move the ball well and I feel that they will have too much for Crocs - Town BP Win

Brods Vs Morley - The Brods I watched last week are great with the ball in hand but weren't so strong defensively. Im going with a tight game but Morley to come away with the W.

Ponte Vs Scarbs - Scarboroughs run to come to and end here, Ponte are no easy team to play anywhere nevermind at home. Ponte to win by a few.

M&N Vs Goole - Another tough one to call.. Malton seemed to have found their form but Goole are also playing well by all accounts. Either way its a big game for both sides. Home advantage to take M&N to the W.

Brad Salem v Rochdale – MOTD expecting a close game with home advantage just the difference, Salem win.

Donny P v Wetherby – Phoenix are not a bad side just can’t seem to put together  80 minutes to get a win. Just have a feeling this could be the week. Phoenix win.

Moortown v Old Crocs -Can only see a comfortable home win for Moortown.

Old Brods v Morley – Home advantage and the pitch just to gibe Brods a win.

Ponte v Scarborough – You can make a case for both sides and I have no idea who will win on Saturday. So with no confidence I’m taking the Pontefract pack to just make the difference, Pontefract win but at least one bonus point for Scarborough.

M&N v Goole – M&N to give the home supporters an early Christmas gift of 5 points.

Brad Salem v Rochdale –  Have a feeling Rochdale may pinch this one.

Donny P v Wetherby – Could be a close game. Going with a Phoenix win

Moortown v Old Crocs - If Crocs get on top in the forwards then I can see them winning.

Old Brods v Morley –   Hard to call. Morley are struggling to put a full 80 minutes together. Last week was a first half horror show but a total turnaround in the second half blew Moortown away. It will be an interesting forwards battle. Morley win just

Ponte v Scarborough – I think forward dominance will win it for Ponte.

M&N v Goole – If Goole can put in a similar performance as last week then an away win

$alem v Rochdale - BP win for the home side, but the visitors to give them a good run for their money… Salem +7

Donny P v Wetherby- a very close scrappy game but expecting Wetherby to inch out a win on the road. Wetherby +7

Mooretown v Crocs - one that could go either way. Crocs stronger in the pack, town taking it in the backs. I predict there’ll be a number of card for both sides. Town to edge it with home advantage. Moortown -7

Old brods v Morley - the slope, the home advantage, struggle to see past a home win for Brods +7

Ponte v Scarborough - scabs have had a good run of form in the initial half of the season. Ponte pack to be the difference and overtake scabs in the league table. Ponte +7

MN v Goole - could be a close one, backing M&N to get the win. M&n -7

Salem Vs Rochdale - Salem will be too good at home for Rochdale. BP win Salem

Donny Vs Weth - Wetherby coming off a big win last week and Donny came close to scabs away. Wetherby BP win

Town Vs Ol Crocs - Crocs really struggling to find a win this season and travelling to Town will not help that. Town BP win

Brods Vs Morley - Morley will struggle against brods and their hill, but i think it could finish quite close. Brods Win

Ponte Vs Scarbs - Scabs on a very good run this year and Ponte had a good win last week but i think scabs will take it here. Scabs win

M&N Vs Goole - Goole ran salem close and Malton only just beat Crocs this one could be a very close game. Draw

Salem Vs Rochdale - huge win for BS I think. Rochdale seems to have lost their polish a bit in the cold and wet. A pretty average pitch will only suit BSs style.

Donny Vs Weth - battle of the forwards really. This could go either way. I missed both the Weth and Donny matches but the feedback for both was they had good forwards. ill go for a very close home win.

Town Vs Ol Crocs - Moortown will click at home with thought of the Christmas themed disco ball being fitted by the club chief on Friday night. Big bonus point win followed by Santa hats, curry and dancing till dawn.

Brods Vs Morley - Wisdom says Brods and I'm going to stick with that. BP home win.

Ponte Vs Scarbs - Ponte have had some cracking wins this season and recent weeks have shown they are the form team in the league. Big aggressive pack and home advantage make it a tough outing.

M&N Vs Goole - Both clubs starting to turn it around but home advantage will be key and I'd be surprised if Malton don't get a BP home win...

Brad Salem v Rochdale –Dale really struggled up front versus Ponte but despite throwing the ball about well and some genuine pace out wide they are going to need some sort of platform here. Salem win

Donny P v Wetherby – Draw

Moortown v Old Crocs -Max points for Town

Old Brods v Morley – Home win in a close and competitive game.

Ponte v Scarborough – Ponte deducted league points thanks to a zero tolerance approach to a genuine mistake by a volunteer. Some may say deserved but for me has taken something away from what was bubbling up nicely at the top. Home win just.

M&N v Goole – Home advantage to count just.

Salem Vs Rochdale - Should be a cracker going with Salem but certainly would not fall off my chair if Dale gota a win here.

Donny Vs Weth - as always backing our lads wetherby win

Town Vs Ol Crocs - Could be close favouring home adv and a moortown win

Brods Vs Morley - Again tight as a nuns chuff this one so going for brods based on home advantage

Ponte Vs Scarbs - Two good defences on display here but think the scarborough attack was the better of these two sides so going for a boro win.

M&N Vs Goole - Going for Goole to take a valuable away win.

Points deduction for a fixture card error? I thought it was hard to do that now with it all completed by GMS.....

Bradford Salem Vs Rochdale - Top of table clash, Salem in a close home win.

Donny Phoenix Vs Wetherby - Got a feeling of a home win here for Donny.

Moortown Vs Old Crocs - Moortown to take the spoils on home soil.

Old Brods Vs Morley - A good close rivalry, Brods to take the victory in a close game.

Pontefract Vs Scarborough - Ponte due to home advantage but will be close.

M&N Vs Goole - Malton and Norton in a close win.

6 home wins for me!

Player was not registered so a points deduction. Fair play. Mitigating circumstances, player has come through colts and never played for anyone else. Played last year but had not updated at the beginning of the season. Tried to register him night before but computer would not finalise. Volunteer (who has just taken on the job), wrongly took it as sorted by what the gms said. Top and bottom we have five points less and looking for a replacement volunteer. Many thanks rfu.

That's a shame. It happens - and you're right, there is a zero tolerance but it's also hugely frustrating.

It is less likely to happen now due to GMS but obviously there is still the small chance it can slip through.

I feel sorry for the (ex) volunteer as genuine mistakes always happen right across a club but not many lead to points deductions.

Any games called off yet due to the storm? Cant imagine the most attractive style of rugby being played today!

That's just it, GMS was/is the cause of the problem. Certainly at the start of the season, existing club players/members registering were put on a 7 day wait list (and was still happening 3 weeks ago). The relevant people at RFU were suddenly incommunicado. They only responded when the League Secretaries got involved. That was when they waived the 7 day rule before the first game of the season - the cut off being 12:oopm on the Friday lunchtime.
I was sat in Spoons in Scarborough on the Friday afternoon trying to resolve the issue. As far as i know, it's still not resolved.

What a monumental win by Scarborough away to Pontefract. Tough place to go and win against a bigger pack. Sounds like like a great game with a few cards dished out. Sorry to say I wasn't there so looking forward to the report and post match analysis
