Bogey Team
« on: September 28, 2011, 01:20:27 AM »
..... Who do You! think is the bogey team that might take the victory from your team on the day of playing them.?

For Billingham i think will be Percy Park, last time we was promoted from this league they beat us home and away....

but unsure this time around... possibly win against them when they come to visit at billingham.

Old Brods for us, regardless of whether we outplay them, they always sneak a win against us. Not beat them in the last 6 meetings that I remember and certainly the last 2 we should have.

I think you'll find we beat you 20 -17 at our place and you won at yours 25 - 15 after a shaky second half where we nearly had you but then you got that break away try.  :)

I have to agree with WL on that one. The game at your place last year was like Rourkes Drift! Backs to the wall almost from start to finish. Home game was a little more even but as you say we "sneaked" them both. To be honest I think we have done well in recent seasons in a lot of these tight games, seeming to be able to hang in there and get a result against the odds. Saturdays game against Percy Park being a bit similar - loads of players missing and when you think the writing is on the wall, somehow it doesnt work out that way.

The thread on another board about teams beating each other - circle of insanity I think - is fascinating. Just goes to show how teams can beat each other when you least expect it. But hey, thats what makes sport fun eh............

This one and this, both we probably should have edged, that long range kick at your place that bounced off the cross bar and over, gutting.
