Interesting comments from Brid D of R in the local paper:

"The win keeps us in pole position and hopefully that is where we will stay after Saturday’s important trip to our neighbours and good friends Scarborough.

“Our East coast rivals have had a good run of form lately and been bolstered by some new recruits so are guaranteed to be a tougher proposition than the team we hammered at Dukes Park earlier in the season."

I like the sarcasm in the first sentence!! And what run of good form?? Scabs have lost 6 of their last 8 league matches - hardly threatening the top! And what new recruits?? Scabs have the same players as the first day of the season and will have 17 locals and 1 overseas player in the squad on Sat!

However we will welcome our good friends from Brid along with their 6 overseas players and with what I'm sure will be their full strength side.

Yes we will have out best team available and yes I will make sure the horses are chained up away from the pitch.
Would you make sure the underfloor heating is turned up in our changing room please.

Come on now, you all know there's only one place to be this ruggerday.....Knottingley!, it's been mentioned that there's a wee 'feaces' problem, but in reality, it isn't so much a problem, as a godsend......it gets at least 5 members of the knottingley 'save ur knott outfields from feaces '
( or SUK OFF! ) club,,,,out of their caravans on a Saturday morning, to let the rats in, to clean up the Friday takeaway.....the clubhouse is quite like scarbs, though.......it's got walls....!?!  :o

Looks like a big win for brid today. The softie scarbs pack will be without their saffy prop who has gone home three weeks before Christmas as he misses his Mummy! Should be abut 50-6 for Brid.

You would have been excused for watching this game today and thinking they'd never played each other before. No passion no fire in the belly. Very flat
When the second seal was opened another horse came out, a fairy red one. Its rider was given power to take the p*ss from the earth and to make men lay with each other. To him was given a large ego.
