All, again I have received a complaint about comments made about an individual club that are untrue, and could be construed as libelous. Could you please ensure that you don't post comment about clubs or individuals unless you know you are factually correct.

The main topic that I receive complaints about relate to the very emotive subject of paying players, often people accuse teams of paying players without any proof that it is the case, and this can cause serious issues if for example the inland revenue were to take an interest in such claims. Everyone using this forum is a lover of rugby, and will more than likely be associated with a club within our region - is there any need to make the type of comments that is likely to show a club in such a negative light? Everyone has a bit of banter about players and clubs within the region, but please think twice about the affect your comments might have.

'Libel is the written communication (printed words, pictures, or in any form other than by spoken words or gestures) of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government, or nation a negative'

Can I remind people of this post. I've just had to remove a couple of posts on the Y2 section as the issue of a club paying players has again raised it's head.

Not being one to point fingers, but surely a ban on Phoenix members is the only option?  :o

Crazy the world has become so sensitive. I'll happily let a club pay me to grace the green turf and go striding over the try line at snail pace! I don't mind people slating the fact I'm paid to play, I'll just sit happily in Maccy D's with an extra Big Mac and a cheeky smile on my face!

Wow the forums will be dead soon as someone will always find something in a message, or construe something a different way to make out its offensive! The world's gone soft! No more jokes or banter guys!

Has the long lay off affected your sense of humour ?
Litigation as a result of this load of cobblers ..? Nearly choked on my Swan lip and ethnic fair trade gluten free foie gras peace biscuits… I’d love to see Messrs Suet & Allott trying to persuade some public school educated bewigged buffoon in ermine that someone deserves a spot of light buggering behind the stand because they’ve accused some fat chump of accepting twenty quid from some egotistical chairman whose got more money than hair … ( and breathe) get back to tittering …

Old Tart, how lovely to see you back in harness again. Hope the groin straps aren’t chafing too much? The debate about paying players has got to be so passé now as to be ignored. We tried it with antipodeans and the most recent is happily contributing to another club’s fortunes now. Never say never, but probably never do that again. I hope your ‘travelling in ladies’ underwear’ business is booming, particularly if you have embraced the t’internet sales mechanism, or are you now ploughing all of your business acumen into bitcoin opportunities.

Either way it would be good to catch up in person for a dry sherry and bag of pork scratchings, so do let me know if you are following any clubs likely to encounter Ripon at any point in the season.

Tarters

Thank you for the enquiry dear boy . I would like that very much, give the plastic wrapped puffed up porcine postules a miss as my millionty pound crowns can’t cope)

I havn’t even looked at fixtures yet - business has been difficult in the feminine requirements hairier so I’ve had to really pull my finger out . The Bitcoin mine is doing really well … might even sponsor a big fat boring gormless chap for my club . Imagine  free advertising for my products on his shirt … the puns would be endless .. and it’s about time everyone stopped taking rugby so seriously . It’s a stupid game played by silly people . Mines a large one 👍
