with billingham pretty much clear and having top spot in the bag, who do you reckon will steal 2nd place and the play off spot now? pretty tight between PP, WH & middlesbrough

Team Northumbria not an option?  :D

You have some tough games, you have to go to Sheffield and Billingham, though that will be a last game of season  so they might be under strength, and the game against us at our place.

We have you and boro, so we can decide our own fate I think.

I think it will be between Wheatley hills and Boro. We will be treating the Percy park game just as important as any other. They beat us at there place first game of the season so it would be nice to even things up and it would feel a bit deflating to have won the league and then to finish off with a loss.

As we're now in to the final furlong for second, it definitely now looks a 3 horse race.  Here's the 3 teams remaining games.

                       Park               Boro              Hills
10/03/2012     Sheffield (A)             M&N (A)                   Brods (H)
17/03/2012
24/03/2012     Cleck (H)                  Sheffield (H)            Crocs (A)
31/03/2012     Hills (A)                    Cleck (A)                  Park (H)
07/04/2012     Northern (A)
14/04/2012     Durham City (H)       Hills (H)                    Boro (A)
21/04/2012     Billingham (A)          Durham City (A)        Team North (H)

For me Wheatley Hills has the slightly easier run in but you have to agree, its any ones spot.

After yesterdays games 2nd place is still wide open Its a forgone conclusion that Billingham will win it needing only 2 points to guarantee the league, but for second place its certainly hotting up.

Given todays results, have M&N got an outside chance at the 2nd place spot? Or does parks game in hand combined with the possibility that Billingham may not take the final game of the season too seriously make it all but theirs?

Northern won't be a walk over for PP. They have good results recently.

Don't worry, we don't expect them to be.

Mach - i would not be at all surprised if Sheff turn Malt over, long list of un- availabilities the week off has come at a good time for us.

Making excuses already? Do you not have strength in depth ... If not then you won't want 2nd place !

Every team will try and win their last few games. We all want to see our team play the best standard possible.

I just think the 2 teams that do go up will struggle.

Bill do look a good team but rely heavily on the Hyndmans. Without them they might as well stay in N1
