His Lordship:
Went to the Dinno game today, thought they competed very well up front - but as with the games that I've seen this season cut open in the backs.

Pristine Shorts:
Sorry I wasn't there. In rainy Scotland. It was a much depleted Ilkley pack but first xv backs bar one.

Didn't bump into you today Mr Bott, and yes I think you're right. Ilkley deserved the win but in the end the scoreboard wasn't kind to Dinnington. Good battling though and still playing some good rugby.

Good luck to Ilkley next week!

backrowbandit:
Scabs dropped the ball over the line during the 2nd last play of the game which would have given a draw (assuming a successful kick).

Biggest difference between the two sides was that Drif moved cleanly set  ball away from the breakdown much quicker than Scabs, reorganised defence quicker and were sightly more savvy.

Drif also had a bizarre red card - only their lock will know why decided to throw a full force punch to the head of a young winger as the winger approached a maul. It could be the new definition of cowardly and unprovoked however the Ref was in view and a red followed. A pity a small section of Driffield "supporters" thought it appropriate to congratulate their player on his actions (very football like in the attitude).

Despite that act, Driff were just good for their win.
