I suppose that the experienced Mr Hickson could have spoken to any of about 150 people sat in the stand adjacent to where the 'clear offence' took place.
However, he wisely chose to consult the equally experienced - non-biased - touch judge who happened to be much closer - about 3 metres away!
Be 100% sure that the touch judge was not responsible for the sending off - it was DEFINATELY and most clearly the players own fault.
Both Touch Judges were very fair (as they should be) and had good games. T J's are very important to our game, Society Refs or not.

Agree absolutely. When both TJs are also refs anyway, what possible reason can there be for refusing the chance to have them operate as a team of 3?

Got to say well done to Pock on Saturday in what was a good game to watch. They have a great offloading game in the pack and work tirelessly for each other. It boads well for you that when you make changes it is not noticeable.
Good luck for next season, You play with great structure and organisation. I think your pack will cope but you may need more pace out wide.

Cant understand why they would turn down 2 official touch judges. RH, i am not saying this with any bias, and i when the ref spoke to the driff TJ it was for a high tackle on a boro player, which was followed by a little 'pushing'. And this is not having a go at the TJ's either as they give up There day the same as everyone else. I dont think the ref should of been consulting them unless they are RFU Official. It didnt have any influence on the result, or the sending off.
