I was looking forward to being one of the referees this Saturday however I have torn my hamstring training (I'll never learn) >:(

I'll just have to come along and cheer on the two Thorne teams.

Good luck to all. :)

Just a pity that it's the Dinnington Carnival tomorrow, and there's also a Steam Rally - that said, around 300 players and their supporters will be quite a throng :)

And it was won by........Dinnington All Starrs (and yes it's supposed to be spelt that way ;D) - well done to the Dinno lads, and having followed the Twitter feed all day, well done to all the teams involved plus the organisers and hosts :)

If the players from Dinnington All Starrs play next season for Dinnington they'll be threat.

Great day. Came close to getting to the final with a very scratch team but we won the fair play award! Lol

I am so pleased Thorne managed to get a team into the finals next week at our place.  It was a great day out for our lot other than the unfortunate incident when one of our players collapsed and had a fit.  We went to hospital with him and I am happy to report that he has made a good recovery.  Many thanks to the guy who helped him (from Dinnington I think because his face is familiar) and the two nurses who came to his aid.

Thanks to the organisers and the refs - maybe Radio Gnome will regain his fitness and officiate next week if he leaves off the training LOL.

Murdock - we missed each other again.

Good to hear that the guy who had the seizure is ok, my wife told me about it last night. Hopefully he's ok for next week.

Fingers crossed we'll be there at Thorne as my lad joined the Velociraptors part way through the day so should be playing next week, will be good to see a few faces.

Well done to Thorne who were worthy winners in the Plate final against my lads team, and good luck to all who will be there next week.

Thanks Steve - he was in the Thorne Tigers team that did not qualify so he will only be a spectator next week.

Thorne Panthers were unlucky not to qualify for the cup competition as a best runner up - they lost one game all day and that was by one point when Wheatley B scored a last minute try.  Having said that going to the plate competition probably helped them qualify for the Finals next week.

Hope you can get down to Thorne next week and I hope we can get things as well organised as Dinnington did yesterday.

Batman - I understood that they were mainly ex-Dinnington players who have moved onwards and upwards and got together to play yesterday.  That's what Vole told me last night in the pub.
