What a bad week for English sport and sadly there seems to be a theme running through.
England lose to Chile and then Germany at football
England lose to the All Blacks at Rugby Union (from a good position)
England lose the first cricket test to Australia (from a good position)
England lose to the Kiwis at Rugby League (from a really good position)
They all had the ability and opportunity to win but when it really counts why is it other countries can find something extra when facing a losing situation or hammer home the slightest advantage when presented
Is there something missing from the British psyche? (Include Ireland and Scotland and you've got more examples)
Have we just not got the killer instinct, the bottle under pressure or that extra something?
When the second seal was opened another horse came out, a fairy red one. Its rider was given power to take the p*ss from the earth and to make men lay with each other. To him was given a large ego.

At least we can look forward to the vote on Scottish Independence when we at last cast out those ne'do wells from across the border and rebuild Hadrians Wall to more appropriate height.
Yes its been a bad week to be English!!

Six months after "independance" and they will be begging to come back when they realise that 2 highland sheep farmers and a few tartan weavers  dont pay enough tax to keep the whole country afloat
The sword of moderation shall fall heavy upon the ungenerous .

It wasn't a dig at the English it was a lament for all the home nations and the apparent lack of the ability to convert a winning position
