Good game at Wetherby today. As the league would suggest two equally matched teams. We had to best of the first half and they had the best of the second.

Wetherby 15 is a good runner and the old guy at 9 is still very good.

Good wins for vandals and Sheffield today. Looks like vandals and York will be safe now IMO.
Bring back the biff :-)

Ossett gutted to lose another close one - 9 bonus point losses now which hurts.

Ossett surrendered a 19-8 lead and missed 3 kicks at goal. Played some crackibg rugby in the middle 50 mins but ran out of steam. Vandals upped tempo in last 20 mins and the introduction of big bald fly half (knapping) turned the tide.

Despite all the bad feeling last time out it was a well fought and clean game. Thanks to bloemy for helping our skip when he was poleaxed. Never a game goes past without wardy having a near death experience!!

Was at Warley today watching a cracking match between two evenly matched teams. Game was refereed by a lady today, she was pretty good, perhaps a bit to quick to blow the whistle but very consistent. Both teams respected her decisions with no back chat, which is how it should be. Wish her all the best for her future.

The lady ref did well today for her second league game in england. Yes alittle quick on the whistle but she sorted it out in the second half. A draw would have been a fair result. But a nice little clubhouse in very scenic surroundings!

Agree about ref. very consistent but too quick to blow up. Think vandals had a couple of good advantages lost and ossett had more than enough penalties conceded that were immaterial but guess its hard to please everyone. All in all, one of the better refs of the season - certainly had authority and took no c@@p!!

A good clean game at York, nice touch that the ladies match preceded the game, good guys, we had the run of the green with ref. A good win with 5 backs missing through injury, but you play what you have and get on with it.

Agree with Ossett coach... Hard game refereed very well! I think we needed the win more and our play at times lacked that bit of finess! Great banter during the game and I was very proud of every vandal that put on a shirt today! Ossett are a very well drilled team and luckily for us we caught them on a slightly off day, and we had one of those second halves were everything seemed to stick! Good luck to them till season end and we shall renew our contests next year!

Hessle played OK today, with some decent spells of pressure.

Forwards were strong until their fitness started to flag a little. Both performances against Ensians suggest they are a team much better than their league position.

However I think it looks bad for Hessle now.

I have just had a look at who plays who at the bottom of the table in remaining games, Hornseas run in looks very tough. They have Wetherby, Ensians, Corinths, Hessle and Stocks to play. That will be very tough.

Unfortunately it looks like Hessle and Hornsea down for me.

Gave Corinthians two tries, tried a little cross field kick that god charged down and they scored an interception, feel like we lost today, think we were the much better side but weren't clinical enough.  Assume Stocksbridge are out celebrating promotion, no one can catch them now, onto next season.

Watched the RI v Fax game at New Lane - a win for experience over enthusiasm. RI forwards dominant in first half but completely reversed in second when experience told.
Young lad at 9 for Fax ran in two long distance tries and once RI dropped behind they just couldn't keep the ball long enough to get back into it.
One or two baffling decisions - Fax should certainly have had another try - but in the end the score was a fair reflection.

selall - I suppose when you are playing Corinthians you expect god to be on their side. Hope he is properly registered!

Stand out players and not so
Vandals v ossett

First half vandals 9 was terrible! 2Nd half excellent until he tripped on a blade of grass.
Vandals wwf number 10 did very well.

Ossett mr 700 got mandatory yellow!
