Good Y1 arm-wrestle today with Scabs only getting on top in the last 20 mins. It was as if the crowd and the team plugged into each other in the last quarter and willed scabs onto victory.

Both sides were a bit cagey for a while today and both looked a bit low on confidence. The Rib 15 and 12 were good players with the 15 especially catching the eye with his pace. Some good solid performances today from Scabs.... the scrum looked good after The Beast came on after 20 minutes (carrying an injury) and our 7 was good all game. No real superstars just a good honest team performance.

Well reffed throughout despite him picking a knock after 20 mins or so. He could have easily called it a day but continued after some strapping. Let the game flow as much as he could with both teams delivering several knock-ons etc. and was happy to shrug off the friendly banter and advice from the touchline (don't know who that could have been!!).

Enjoyed some good company with the Rib chaps during pre-match lunch.......

Overall, a good day and time to inspect the wine cellar...

Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

I agree BRB, though I feel our young scrum half deserves a mention along with the whole back row. Much better work at the breakdown allowing quicker ball was very evident. Also, disruption at the base of the North Rib scrum was better than it's been for a long time.
All in all an enjoyable match, more so because of the win of course.
