It's all about who throws the most money at it!!! rugby at any level is no longer played on a "level playing field"
Sadly there are fewer and fewer "Rugby clubs"left but more and more pseudo professional outfits who pay out more than they take,I see it all "ending in tears"

In the entire history of the game, does anybody know of a single instance of a club that has been offered bucket loads of cash, only to say "no thanks, we want to remain a rugby club" - whatever that means?

To be fair, RH, that's not the question. Sure, no club would refuse a bucket-load of cash - but it's what the club does with it that counts. It seems to me that Bees are desperate to get back ' where they belong ' and despite being half a mill in debt, they appear to think that buying players is the right way : fair enough, let 'em.

Salem have found a new sponsor it would appear, so good luck to them. They have travelled this road before, so again, let 'em!

I agree entirely. I was just responding to the by now rather tired moaning about clubs paying players being somehow non-rugby.

Well hello,  RH ! How's life in Whitby ? Not much happens outwith this site and it's always worth a look in here.

Lots of new people to meet next season and here's a Rugby Quiz question for you - which National 3 North Club's Committee was fined en bloc for hosting a strip show ? This led to similar ' Captain's Night ' functions disappearing overnight in the rugby fraternity.....

All gearing up for the Regatta rowing races (that's the sport that's too hard for TMO...) in two weeks' time. Plus when in Whitby you don't need to hire in strippers, so huzzah.  ;D

I would guess B and B will be up there and possibly Malton if they've recruited well. I watched Salem beat a poor York and don't rate them for going straight up ; they will be difficult to beat at home though !

I also expect B&B to be in the top2.

Dont Salem to be in the top 2, big ask to come up from Yorkshire 2 and go straight through. They are also in the National Cup and the prospect of playing at Twickenham will be hard for players to resist.

The second team will be the established Yorkshire 1 side who have recruited best (spent the most money).
