Very poor display from Ribb at Acklam for the first 70 minutes. Acklam to their credit retained the ball well and dominated our scrum, so we were always struggling. A disallowed try between the posts for a double movement on the stroke of halftime was a bit of a blow, but no complaints. We scored three tries in the last ten minutes and had we played with that intensity for the rest of the match we would surely have won.
Well received by Acklam who are a good rugby club, and we wish them well, except for, their return trip to Ribb in the depths of December.
On a separate note their current top man is a gent called Ray Kelly and the current Yorkshire President. What a breath of fresh air to our county game with someone of his support of the grassroots principles. Long mat it continue.
