Yes it was a great day apart from the rugby with the Guzzler being rather too palatable.....
Disagree with YB in that I think Selby will be fine this season, I would have them as top half poss top 6 .
Very disjointed from York probably reflecting the number of changes we have each week , player unavailability is becoming an issue....

Was a comfort to be back at Home on a glorious day, that probably didn't help Heaths big pack.
We played well for first 35 mins but then managed to ride out a late 1st half flurry from Heath.
We managed about another 25mins of good rugby in the second half but switched off at times.
Better from us, chuffed with another BP.

Not sure about Heath, I think they was missing their 10 (who's meant to be good) and  would probably have given them better structure. Heaths captain/scrum half went well and their 8 was a handful.
It's not just people with triskaidekaphobia that should fear Outside Centres. Everyone should.

Very poor display from Ribb at Acklam for the first 70 minutes. Acklam to their credit retained the ball well and dominated our scrum, so we were always struggling. A disallowed try between the posts for a double movement on the stroke of halftime was a bit of a blow, but no complaints. We scored three tries in the last ten minutes and had we played with that intensity for the rest of the match we would surely have won.
Well received by Acklam who are a good rugby club, and we wish them well, except for, their return trip to Ribb in the depths of December.

On a separate note their current top man is a gent called Ray Kelly and the current Yorkshire President. What a breath of fresh air to our county game with someone of his support of the grassroots principles. Long mat it continue.

How odd that they fought so hard not to be in the Yorkshire leagues when their President is this year's Yorkshire President.

What an utter farce. If they are part of the Yrfu then they should be in the Yorkshire leagues, if not then they should not be given the honour of having a Yorkshire President.

That's you just being mischievous BRB. Lets be honest, why should Acklam be put back into the Y1 system for the second time in three years. There are several clubs who could "Take a turn" within a ten mile radius if required.
Thoughts please.

Why can't anyone who wants to be part of the Yorkshire CB not just play in the Yorkshire leagues full stop??

Fair point I suppose. On that basis I presume you will be available for the position next year. You will get the North Ribb vote.
