Doncaster Phoenix not having it all there own way
« on: September 24, 2016, 08:10:29 PM »
Just looked at the results again today in Nat 3N and Phoenix have lost 3 out of the first four games played, which is a surprise as most thought they may continue the meteoric rise.
Any comment any of you rodents or other none DP people As to the cause of the slip in performance?

Don't think there is huge cause for concern yet - in the last three weeks we have played the top 3 in the league, 2 away - we matched Huddersfield and Wirral for large parts of both games but they were more clinical and took their chances where we couldn't find a cutting edge and when we did we bombed a couple of great opportunities. I wasn't there on Saturday at Lymm but by the looks of things it was a tight game until the 60th minute when they scored 3 or 4 quick tries.

We have a really young squad who are taking a bit of time to adjust to the higher standard in Nat 3, but we never thought it was going to be easy. I am still confident we will end up in mid-table come the end of the season, which is the target.
