jared payne a bit of a strange one... personally think Ringrose was worthy... also think Moriarty/Halfpenny were lucky and conversley Launchbury must be gutted, thought he deserved it probably a bit more than Lawes... and not overly surprised haskell isnt in there but through he would have been a great person to have on the tour.
Rugby may have many problems, but the gravest is undoubtedly that of the persistence of summer

Yet more anti-Welsh rhetoric Stella, par for the course from you though - thought you would have been Biggar than uthis. I agree about Launchbury I'm sure he will be the first on the plane when a forward injury occurs

Plenty of time for lots of injuries to happen before that plane takes off  ::)

Nothing to do with his nationality, he's just s***e!!
Can't see how his on field antics will do them any favours either.

Launchbury a surprise but lock a very competitive position. Alun Wyn-Jones is half the player he was and half the player of launchbury.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

Gatland been loyal to a couple of his boys without a doubt Biggar shouldn't be anywhere near the side he isn't even nailed on for his club side. As for Faletau he's fallen behind the Englishman Moriarty. I hope it doesn't happen but I can see Halfpenny starting ahead of Hogg.

I like Hartley I'd have taken him over Jamie George but thats personal preference

full back not a strong position for us personally would have liam williams in there, think he is the best option.

9 replacements where made due to injuries etc. on each of the last 2 lions tours so still a chance for some of the unlucky players to still make the tour.

I still think the worst choice for the lions was Gatland. Nothing to do with his ability as a coach/manager but the fact he is the current head coach of the wales team means there would always be a biased towards welsh players. I think all current head coaches of the home nations should be excluded for the top job.

Considering you'd only be excluding 4 head coaches there are plenty to choose from. Jake White would be near the top of the list for me
