Just to inform those interested, we at Hornsea have decided to withdraw from the Yorkshire leagues, and join the East District Merit Table next season.

A very tough year last season, reduced playing numbers (we only managed to get a 2nd XV / Vets out 3 times last season) and long away trips every other week has forced our hand at the players request.

We will look forward to fixtures against Bridlington, Scarborough, Driffield, Malton, Goole, Hullensians, Ionians etc in our new league.

Hopefully this will be a temporary fix and we'll hope to rejoin the Yorkshire leagues in the not too distant future if we can build up our player base again.

We are still open for games to be arranged on non league weeks if any of you want a trip to the Coast.

All the best for next season.

Steve - Hornsea President
