Interesting how things have changed so soon with regards to Keighley, Mooretown and Scarborough's position in the league...

I'd like to think York will maintain the top spot, which is our goal, it won't be easy but we will work hard to achieve this.

Bev are a very good side, I don't think many will take a win at their place. so they'll be good contenders.

We played well against Brods at home last year, and defeated them convincingly. However, teams / players change and it would be good to see how they fair up against us this year.

Heard good things about Borough, but despite their recent loss they seem to have some valuable backs who could cause problems.

from what I've seen and heard;
1.York
2.Bev
3.Brods/Heath
4.Scarborough
5.Keighley
...

Not seen any of them this season so only based on reports.
York
Scarbs
Beverley

May all change when the Air New Zealand flight lands at the end of the month.

I think it is going to be a shootout between York, Scarborough and Bev!

Although York have had a few old players come back from National League clubs, the club has also lost some quality players.

Scarborough seem to be very quiet on here with regards to backing themselves, but on paper have a strong team across the board now

And from first hand experience of playing Bev last week they play rugby like teams in much higher leagues and will take some beating. A bit more size in their pack and improvements in the set piece and they become very hard to beat!

Scabs
Bev
York

Scabs were my dark horse last year and surprised me were they finished.
They are somewhat under the radar at the moment to many (well done BRB).
But don't be fooled they will be serious contenders.
Ask the same question in 3 weeks you will probably get a different answer ask again in 6 weeks and it will change again.
The question is a little premature but no harm in playing the game

If we lose any more players for Saturday I think we'll be playing 7's. And that is not gamesmanship!!

Careful. You'll have the North Leeds Massive taking the moral high ground against your club too.  ::)

BRB if you are thinking of 7s on saturday. You must have nearly 50 players unavailable from your senior squad of a well documented 4 teams An unprecedented amount I agree.
The Swans will be licking their lips at playing mostly your 3rd team.
Good luck anyway. I am sure you will not afford Selby the same generosity as you have the last game of the season for two years,  now that you are title contenders😉😉

Reading between the lines, I'd say BRB's previous comments on lack of commitment from players would suggest his 4 team strong squad may have been collared into day trips to Leeds shopping, or forced to go on 'Last of the summer sun holidays' with their WAGs. Worst kind of injury. It's rife in West Yorkshire as well. Rugby's very own HIV pandemic.
