Scarbs have a couple of difficult fixtures in the next fortnight.
Beverley caused York to dig deep in the first game of the season and if they match their form from York on Saturday then Scarbs will struggle. In particular if they kick aimlessly to the Bev back 3.
Then they have Moortown away. Who are due to either put up or shut up! So losing bonus points only for me.
Heath have two 5 pointers coming up so I can a cabinet reshuffle occurring in the minor places!

So are you backing your boys to still be in second place a week on Saturday, BRB?

Hopefully Scarbs drop the points. Middlesbrough with Selby and Bradford Salem... hopefully 10 points.

Then Middlesbrough v Old Brods and Beverley on the bounce. See if they can climb to 3rd/4th

A shake up before Christmas is on the cards.
Additionally York have to travel to Heath in December and then Wheatley and Scarbs the first two games after the festive break.. so its all to play for!

At the moment that is the last league game of the season. So they will want to wrap it up before then!
It would a big finale if it’s not a dead rubber!

That’s more like BRB!
Presumably you were meaning second  spot behind Heath!

I have to say good luck to York in their attempt for glory in the higher leagues. So far they have looked the superior side in Y1 and there are no signs in the short term that this will change. If the financial rewards on offer help them gain the higher status they yearn then good luck. York is a big city and deserve to have a rugby team worthy of that status. I get a bit fed up of people complaining about others wanting to improve themselves and as long as it is within the rules then I say good luck. Remember if York go up then another team with equal inspirational dreams will take their place and so it should be. There is a place for everybody in our league, and that place is constantly changing.
Never argue with an idiot, he'll bring you down to his level and beat you with experience!

Scarborough under Simon Smith looking very likely to end the season in 2nd place with a play off for promotion Hope to see both Scarbs and York in north one next season with a possibility Pocklington may also return to North One great for big gates in the all Yorkshire matches .

There are no rights to do well because York is a big city, the majority of York sport supporters don’t know the Jugg exist.

The priority and hierarchy given to sport by the Press  is heavily biased towards the so called professional sports in the city. City and Knights doing so well, not.

York is not a big city! It is by definition one of the smallest in the Country.
Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Halifax, Doncaster are all bigger than York.
Additionally there are more rugby league clubs in York than there are Union. I know that can be said for many of the areas from where clubs attempt to draw players.
Additionally still astonishingly to me York Rufc do not solely benefit from the funds generated over the bar on rugby days. It goes to the sports club. Might be why the have built a superb facility that overlooks the 1st team Cricket pitch.
York are reaping the rewards of players who have come through their very successful Youth Section staying loyal and those who have been or could have been at National rugby level playing for them.
20 years in the making!
Hopefully those decision makers in the Senior section may finally recognize the quality contribution from those supposedly below them!!
