Some interesting results today. Baildon turned over Harrogate at home and have made it very interesting at the bottom now. In terms of Stocks away it was exactly what we expected the pitch was mud with a sprinkling of grass but both teams got on with it and we played some good rugby to get the 5 point win. I have to say the Stocksbridge wingers deserve a special mention and I feel an award should be made for them having to play in those conditions every week absolutely miserable to say the least. Good luck for the rest of the season Stocks.

Another much needed 5 point win for us yesterday. It was a pleasure to play on the premiership standard pitch at Leeds Meds! Our pack were dominant which stifled the opportunity for their pacey backs to use the width. Pizza in the bar after is always a bonus!
Would be interested to hear what happened at Harrogate yesterday, massive 4 points for Baildon...are they going to pull off the unthinkable??

No excuses from us. Baildon Played like a team that know they’re in a relegation scrap and we played like one that assumed we weren’t. In terms of the actual match Baildon controlled the ball a lot better than we did and took points when they were on offer. Our handling and discipline cost us field position repeatedly and turning down points in the 1st half left us chasing the game in the 2nd.

Another really competitive game against SHMEDS yesterday.

3 converted tries to 2 unconverted. All 3 of our tries were scrum push overs and both of SHMEDS tries were kick throughs and chases.

Fantastic tacklers and a very good defensive team with very very quick backs, if they had some weight in the pack they would be a top team in Y3, as would LMD on their day.

Our lads again tried to run the legs off a student team. Same thing at LMD. If we had kept it a bit tighter we may have got the BP yesterday. Youth brings fitness and speed, we are not going to run these lads into the ground, we have to play a bit smarter and look at the decision making, preferably before we play LMD at home.

I can confirm the fukwit who was repeatedly screaming 'keep it tighter' from the sidelines was me....  ;D
