West Hartlepool 17-41(BP) WL

We got a early Red card and 3 yellows. Went down to 12 men at one point and lads out in a fantastic effort to hold WH out, and went 95m to score.

They also got a yellow, but it was a game like no other I’d ever played in.

Joe Bedford a red for abusing touch judge.  Out of character I'd say.

This is probably old news but how come Joe Bedford is playing Rugby at West Leeds?
Not trying to run the club down just at 34 I thought he may still be able to play at a highish Level?
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the Stars.

Joe is a WL lad, his brother is still a coach at our place. Also we are only 9 league positions below Sandal his previous club (albeit a promotion/relegation in between us).

Got to praise the lad for going back to his roots, we have had several do likewise at York this season and we have reaped the rewards thus far. Hopefully we can entice more back in the coming seasons there are plenty out there from York plying their trade 3/4/5 leagues above where we are at present.

Does he get paid to ‘coach’ by any chance?

No he doesn't coach at all. He did coach at Sandal but think with his job at School it was too many commitments so back to just enjoying playing his rugby.

Not true. Joe gets paid a salary from Woodhouse Grove where he coaches several young lads who have run out for us.
