There is a lot riding on this game for Boro.

If they can beat Beverley? It puts them potentially back in the mix with an outside chance at second place!

It also opens the door for Scarborough to get back on their donkeys and wallop them back into the promotion shakedown (with games against both Heath and Beverley to come).

So which, if either, of our East Coast Riviera sides,  have got the minerals to force their way into the end of season contention for promotion?

IMO I think Heath are in pole position for 2nd place as it stands. With a lot of rugby to be played between now and the end of the season the team who walks away with most points in the scarb/ bev/Heath games should get second place. Personally think Bev might just get their noses in front. If scarbs or Bev do go up via the play off, it looks like the team who remains behind will miss some good local derbys next season as it looks possible for  Pock, Driff, Brid, M+N, and York to be all in same league along with this years Y1 runners up assuming they win the play off.

Middlesbrough wont bother Beverley - they reply too much on one player.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

Also  Heath have to visit OR's on the 17th of March and I am sure OR's will be looking for a double over their neighbours

Agree entirely Wouldn't be surprised with a +20 in Bev's favour.

I should perhaps put a caveat on that. "Unless they play like they did against us". Although results would suggest they haven't since they turned us over.

Could be sometime before the league positions are known,we have yet to play york this season.york play in the cup tomorrow and if they win play again in the cup Easter sat and then perhaps the twickenam final on April 20th.so we will not be able to play our home game against york till may.and if either york or ourselves are second the play off game against Durham Northumberland would be later in may.

heathen,

big presumption about York getting to final, also we have it in our club programme for BH Monday 7th May, Easter Saturday and 28th April available
at the moment lot of water to go under the bridge before anything decided.

Teams can lose to whoever they want but Scabs will bottle it. No chance they will go up. Between Heath and Bev, Boro too much to do.

The way the league above is looking at the moment.
Good chance 2 if not 3 northern sides could be relegated. So Boro likely to be in York’s 1 at least for one more season if they don’t make promotion this year!

York have to play Heath home and away, OB’s, Moortown, Beverley and Selby away from home!
So arguably the toughest run in of all of the promotion hopefuls!

With the number of available  League Saturday’s reducing, will York travel to Heath midweek to play under their spanking floodlights?

The way fixtures may start piling up, I suspect York will have to play some midweek fixtures. Presumably the spanking floodlights comment, is tongue in cheek?
Would it be more accurate to say sparking flood lights? No idea how good or bad they are?
