1981/82 season a very old Tommy David playing for Pontypridd at College Grove (against a very young me) after the game he was handed a half pint of beer by one of their supporters/committee..... "I bet you £50 you can't drink that in one Tommy".....Tommy duly obliges..... "oh well done Tommy" says the supporter and hands him the £50....

Just won a bet.....

How can it be policed... impossible

I dont agree with paying players below Nat 2 personally and those that do should question 'why' but your never going to stop it..

I wonder if that gave him the taste to "Go North" as it was about then he signed for Cardiff City Blue Dragons

North Ribblesdale are a great club, its a shame to see them go down. Middlesbrough went to them this season in January, Middlesbrough wasps didnt have a game and Ribblesdale were happy to oblige to have both a 1sts and 2nds game over at Ribb. These offer a good day out for an away team and ribb were great all day.

Cheers Pristine.  May be if you are playing the "green machine" at your place next season you could invite me as a guest to witness their possible further demise.
Thanks for your consideration of my health. At least it's not getting worse.😉😉

Wharfedale’s fate may be sealed today, Flaggy... and you’d be most welcome to pop down the road, anytime.

finishing above WH could save Ribb, if only one team gets relegated  :o

Moortown have offered a very good front row from Doncaster area in Y1 a lot of money to go play there. £££££

You don't mean the same 'very good front row from Doncaster' who has signed for Beverley?  :-X

I don’t think North Ribb will be relegated.

Still think that after todays results??
Looks like Dinnington down to Y1.
Level tfr from DN1 sees Y1 balanced.
Middlesborough to stay in Y1 and that’s it or have you the inside track on where they will be next year.

B&B did Ribb no favours this weekend losing to Percy Park, which means Dinnington are now relegated into Y1.
Lets see how Scarbs do against "whoever" in the play-offs

Scarborough play Durham City next Saturday, if they win there will have to be be a level transfer from DN1 to Y1 to balance the leagues

Not sure all these mooted possibilities of avoiding relegation would be in the best interests of the club in the long term.
We have a basically young squad, we are in a rural area so recruitment is difficult, we are unable to finance the recruitment of overseas players. We have struggled to retain our Yorkshire One status for a number of years & are proud to have done so. Maybe the best way forward for us would be to developing our young squad & younger merit table winning Stags squad in Yorkshire Two with a view to gaining promotion in a couple of seasons.

Thats may take as well and it could be two if Middlesborough opted to go back.

Would Middlesborough be able to go back to DN1, if it's already 1 team over?
