Lots of tries and good rugby on show this morning by both teams. Good work from Joe at Tigers who is their coach - big respect to coaches at this age who don’t have children in the team!

Lovely bacon sandwich afterwards as well 👍👍

A great morning of rugby for our U7s (and I assume for the rest of the teams!) at Ionians today.

A real buzz about the club there this morning and it was lovely to see and be part of. A huge thank you for the food as well - really appreciated!

Enjoy the last couple of weeks

A great morning of rugby at Huddersfield with their back pitches full of kids running around chasing the egg.

My U7s really enjoyed their games so thanks to the coaches for that.

Also loved your cafe out the back 👌👌

A thoroughly enjoyable morning at Cleckheaton with Sandal U7s. Cheers for organising and hosting. Lots of smiles and it was great that Old Brods were also there making a nice little round robin. All the best for the remaining weeks 👍👍

I think clubs need to work together on this to get some rugby played and get some money into the club. Whether it be Ready4Rugby or touch and pass. Sandal and Morley played last Friday night with 5 teams from each club; 6 teams at Sandal and 4 at Morley. I personally really enjoyed it and Morley did a great job following all the guidance that’s been set out.

Fully understand that not all clubs maybe as close to each other though.

I always said no rugby this side of Christmas but if I had to put a bet on I’d say no rugby till Easter at the earliest and that would be some sort of mini cup competition.

I think and hope that there will be touch and pass tournaments starting up soon and this will bring some joy.

It’ll be interesting to see what comes out in October regarding all of these valid points.

It’s my understanding that it’s the face to face contact that is the issue.

In football there is not a lot of sustained face to face contact, if any. In rugby there is and there are more ways of it happening, tackling, mauling etc.

Netball have changed the distance of defending to 1.2m instead of 1m and no off the ball contact to minimise face to face marking.

It’s seems that a lot of thought has gone into the Ready4Rugby game to standardise rules etc. That it looks like that version is here to stay for a while.

It is frustrating that football is all up and running with competitive fixtures but we can’t even tackle yet.

Until the changing rooms can be used as we know them I can’t see us playing for a while.

January start

The main issue will be limited car sharing and coaches being almost impossible to use.

Absolutely!! I looked through their twitter page and a lot of young lads have been given debuts this season. I remember making my debut for my hometown club and whilst we lost the match it certainly wasn’t to score lines they’re suffering.  I hope they manage to stick together and see the season out.
