On 10th January 1874 the first ever game of rugby was played at Shaw Lane between Barnsley Football Club and Huddersfield.

Let's hope the weather plays ball this week and they get play this week. What is the weather/pitch conditions like on the south side of the county ?

They managed to play a game on 10th January 1874, but unfortunately on 10th January 2026 Barnsley's game is off!
