A tough day at the office for Ripon against a strong HLH side with set piece dominance after a shaky start. Neither team had a penetrative back line, nor exploited the edges which would have worked for both. Discipline was probably the decider on the day with Ripon sticking within single figures for penalties and keeping 15 on the pitch for a change. Hudds kept on going to the bitter end and I genuinely saw a repeat of the away fixture unfolding as the opposition fought tooth and nail. When a last minute penalty opportunity to Ripon was scrummaged instead of going for goal, it was a real "here we go moment", but the game fizzled out with Hudds on the up and Ripon clinging on for dear life. The try bonus was missed, so happy to take the win in the end.
Predictions stuff to follow tomorrow - if anyone knows how to get in touch with any of this week's no predictions - please try and let them know we're back in business. I have let C2Y team managers whatsapp group know.
Only 8 out of 17 managed to predict this week so I hope we can get the rest back before the end of the season.

Evening Mr Locked, I was unable to get onto the site last, like a few others I assume, but have managed to get back on now so hopefully should be all good from here on out!
Welcome back Inspector, the site went down big time and has had to be rebuilt. It's been a challenge but some amazing techy guys have got it going again, hence some appearances being different now. Hopefully other fellow predictors will follow soon.

Are you making the trip to Dinnington this Saturday?
Yes Stevo, I am. Instantly distinguishable as the oldest bloke by far on the Ripon bus party and hopefully not too out of depth as far as craich is concerned. Be pleased to make your acquaintance.
