Could have held it at Pythons, so we could have got the train, had a few beers and enjoyed their always good hospitality. Driving to Rudding Park somehow doesnt have the same allure despite good facilities.

As much as we would enjoy hosting matches like this, as a club that is a leaseholder and doesn't make money from hospitality and bar takings it's probably best that these games go to clubs that would benefit from them the most.

OOOPS Looks like Wharfedale might have had a few first teamers in. We had eight in and only beat Skipdale in the last two minutes!!!!!!!!!!

Looking like 12pm to watch the YST at Harrogate followed by a quick jounery over to York for the NE1/2 playoff at 3pm. Sounds like a good day out.

Best of luck to all the Yorkshire sides playing this weekend.

Bit of confusion on this one. Fleetwood have posted it finished 12-12 and the referee has incorrectly awarded Skipton the home win. I don't know the rule. No update from Fleetwood since and Skipton have posted 'Confirmed' with a trophy emoji and the full time score of 12-12.

Anyone know the actual rules on draws? RFU adult cup competitions seem to suggest settling by extra time, tries scored then conversions scored followed by a place kicking contest.

In play offs it was extra time 10 mins each way then if still level number of tries then place kicking compertition.

In the past it used to be extra time then if still level away team awarded the win.

Never heard of home team being awarded the win if a draw before. But if that is what the rules are for that cup then well done to skipton.

Watched the Otliensians game, pre match in the warm up it looked like a NE1/2 team on one half of the pitch and a traditional Y2 team on the other half. Northallerton played well for the first quarter and when they got within 10 meters of the Otlienians line were able to use there extra beef to get over the line in good old traditional forward play stye. But Otliensians pretty much ran the show from there on in and Northallerton whilst trying to compete were very up against it and it was largely one way traffic from their on in.

Well done to Otliensians they certainly wont look out of place in Y1 next season and with a season or 2 in Y1 will be competertive in NE2. Some excerlent players in that squad at least half a dozen of them would not look out of place a couple of leagues higher.
