Title: Bradford and Bingley RFC start to the season.
Post by: LorraineCarter1 on Oct 05, 2026, 04:45 PM
Hi all,

For somebody who has followed B&B Bees for near on 50 years I would love to hear everybody else's thoughts on this topic.

Saturdays result meant Bees are now 0 wins in their opening 2 games.
They were once the most prestigious club in the area and were a joy to watch. Fast forward to today they are looking like they could be in for a long season in Counties 2 Yorkshire ( Granted we are only 2 game weeks in and things can quickly change )

I managed to get down to the first game of the season and we look to be significantly off the mark for a team supposedly pushing for promotion. It is very clear to show that last year we certainly relied on the rugby league players.
I wonder what caused this once great club to fall so far down the rankings in such a short amount of time?

Does anybody else have us down as a relegation contender for this season?

Maybe I am just overthinking this but would love to know what other members of the forum have to say about us.

Only one reason that B&B are in said position.  The paying of players. Instead of investing in the club fabric, coaching and facilities.

The pursuit of glory and ever greater achievements and living beyond one's means.   Not the first or the last to flounder by pandering to money.

Invest on your M&J's  that is the future.

not the best start to the season but back to winning ways at least today

Wath 2s will struggle in this league they were awful. We were just less awful today and a win is a win

Agree money does come into it and has done but some lads are homegrown and have been bees since kids

few people saying both teams might go down this season I have to say things are going to need to drastically improve and quickly if that isnt going to be the case

Thanks for your input Paul, couldn't agree more.

I do believe that if things were to change this needs to happen urgently.

Me and my husband have put this down to poor recruitment over summer and poor management of the club.
A club of our status should be attracting high calibre players, not players in their mid 30's that are well past their sell by date!

Very infuriating as a fan but all we can do is sit back and enjoy what looks to be a long season ahead.

I'm intrigued to understand what a club of 'your status' means?

Bradford and Bingley an absolutely nothing club. Average at best, 2 or 3 decent players to drag them through a game. 9&10 horrific players shouldn't even get a game in Yorkshire 4. To come on a forum calling wath 2's awful when you are a first team is rather weird. Enjoy your win, probably the only team you'll beat this season cos you had zero structure, zero bollocks and zero talent. All the best
