I've started, so I'll finish...
Last leg of the league season and some very mixed fortunes. So predictable, others entirely unexpected.
Bradford & Bingley v Northallerton
Dinnington v Hemsworth
Halifax Vandals v Ripon
Huddersfield Laund Hill v Ossett
Roundhegians v Bramley Phoenix
Baildon v Yarnbury
Broke & Bust v Smoggies: If the Teesside Terrors had the chance to go out with a bang this is it. Probably more like a damp squib though. B&B -7
Champions v Whomsworth: Nuff said, if Hems can make the short hop down the road, it'll be a massacre. Dinno +7/HWO
Hooligans v Rugrats: Not easily spooked by the monsters of Mount Doom, the young farmers will be aiming to cling onto third place and get into winning ways for the Pizza Cup run. Ripon +7
Laundromats v Bossett: Not much to play for on either side, so if the Wakey wind up merchants have a full complement, could cause an upset here. Ossett -7
Snoozers v Bad Apples: Apples in free fall from the tree and any expectations of a decent season, lie rotting on the ground. Hegians +7
Ca$h Cow$ v Planespotters: Heart wants Aladdin & Co to get five points here to keep Ripon in third spot, head thinks the mercenaries will have enough for an upset and get at least a couple of points. Baildon -7
Bradford & Bingley v Northallerton - Bees advertising a big pre-match lunch so hopefully have enough leftovers to feed the opposition. Bees +7
Dinnington v Hemsworth - hopefully Hems can get a team out to finish the season but it's a tough ask when you know you are in for a hammering. Dinnington +7/HWO
Halifax Vandals v Ripon - should be a good game up on Mount Doom, lovely place to play at this time of year. Vandals play their own pitch well but I think Ripon might pinch this one. Ripon -7
Huddersfield Laund Hill v Ossett - regulation home win. HLH +7
Roundhegians v Bramley Phoenix - another coin toss this one, going for home advantage though. Roundhegians -7
Baildon v Yarnbury - can see this being a high scoring game with Yarnbury taking it by a couple of scores. Yarnbury +7
B&B v Northallerton – B&B +7
Dinno v Hemsworth – HWO or Dinno +7
Halifax V v Ripon – Ripon -7
Hudd L H v Ossett – Hudd L H +7
Hegians v Bramley P – Hegians +7
Baildon v Yarnbury – Yarnbury -7
Cheered on by a crowd of well fed freeloaders. Bees to finish a dreadful underperforming season with a win. They used to be five levels above Ribb and are now two below. Dreadful management somewhere along the line. Hope there is enough food to entertain the Smoggies pre match and that visitors get a warm welcome Bees -7
Dinno +7/HWO
hOOLIGANS -7
Launder boys -7
Hegians +7
Yawn -7
Good luck to all. Have a good close season.
B&B v Northallerton, ye carnt see anything other than a Bees win +7
Dinnington v Hemsworth HWO
Halifax v Ripon- a few gone back to RL from Vandals. Ripon I wouldn't expect have there over seas players. Tough game to call but Ripon +7
HLH v Ossett- hudds coming good for a cup run. +7
Hegians v Bramley Phoenix you would expect anything else than a BP win -7
Baildon v Yarnbury Yarnbury +7.
Come on boys I need the points
Vannie - the Ripon overseas players are all local, UK resident, with right to work, leave to remain etc. Including "Sad Yank". Their comings and goings (Apart from Sad Yank, who's now an adopted Yorkshireman and slowly learning the language) are at the mercy of decisions made outside of club level and of course depend on injuries. Basically it's a case of who's available on a week by week basis. Not a great foundation for a sustainably successful squad though. Nor to be honest, is the perpetual risk of quality players coming through the age grade system, going off travelling and then on to university. Oh and then there's the odd offer a pro-contract or two to upset the applecart. Can't wait to see what tonight's selection reveals! :)
£&£ vs Smoggies
Bees to finish the season with a win as they mount their well funded campaign to attempt to re-climb the leagues next season on the recruitment drive. Bees +7
Orcs vs Suva-upon-Skell
Could be a tricky day out for Ripon's home-grown talent as Mt Doom promises to the only place in Yorkshire not experiencing an early summer. Vandals -7
Hudds Bs vs Bossett
Laundry boys to get a conciliation home win as both sides settle for mid-table mediocrity. HLH +7
Snoozers vs Big Apple
Bramley bad boys struggling into the end of the season and the Snoozers have caused some upsets recently. Hegians -7
Beverley Hills of Bradford vs Jet Setters
Flaggy levels of self-righteousness this week as Yarnbury field 3 sides for the 15th time this season, a double header against Baildon on the last weekend of the season for local bragging rights. High scoring game on the sun-baked plateau at Jenny Lane for an away win as Aladdin & Co enjoy the moral high ground of upholding TREDS rugby. Yarnbury +7
Bradford & Bingley v Northallerton B&B +7
Dinnington v Hemsworth HWO unfortunately
Halifax Vandals v Ripon Ripon -7
Huddersfield Laund Hill v Ossett Not in a great run of form , HLH flying with all their new plyers. Ossett +7
Roundhegians v Bramley Phoenix Roundhay putting some results together +7
Baildon v Yarnbury Should be a good game , Yarnbury +7
Enjoy the rugby in the sunshine , have a great weekend all.
Doc, are you declining to predict a result in the Dinno v Hems game as a foregone conclusion?
And we are back! Sorry I've missed the last few weeks I thought we were still out of action.
B&B v Northallerton – North to go out with a bang -7
Dinno v Hemsworth – HWO or Dinno +7
Halifax V v Ripon – Ripon +7
Hudd L H v Ossett – Hudd L H +7
Hegians v Bramley P – Hegians +7
Baildon v Yarnbury – Baildon -7

Aye... The bookmark link I was using was still showing the site as done after 5/6 weeks so it was a bit pointless carrying on at that point! Ah well, twas a giggle for a few weeks!
Hopefully you'll be back next season though? Final league places coming tomorrow.
