Joe Lowes didn't play for most of the season, because of recurring head-injuries. However, I believe he has gone as player-coach to Otliensiens ; Blake Morgan has retired because of his recurrent knee problems and Harry Harrison has gone to Heath, as he has moved into the area, according to his announcement on Heath's website.

I think the Yorks 2 sides will be absolutely fine.
Against any of the Nat 2 sides, there will be x20 players playing for the ones, plus anyone who is injured - squads are not that big

General Rugby Chat / Pitch Maintenance

Just wanted to give a shout out to one of the Pythons lads business for anyone looking for some pitch maintenance for pre pre season and beyond, especially if you might now need a 2nd team pitch bringing up to league standards!  :o

Boothy does the lot when it comes to vertidraining, sanding, cutting, slitting, spraying and various other things he has fancy tractor attachments for. He's worked with Harrogate Town, Otley, Pocklington and Harrogate RUFC to name a few.

Those of you who came down to Pythons back in our Y3/Y2 days between October and February will remember what a state it used to be in. Thanks to Boothy we now have one of the best grass pitches around (ignoring the slope) despite constant drainage problems from the estate next to the pitch. It holds up well enough that we've moved one of our training sessions a week from a 4G pitch back down to the club and are looking at possibly moving the other one as well.

It's a slightly biased advert I know but if you want to have ground maintenance by someone who knows what a rugby pitch needs and won't rip you off then I'd highly recommend GBB Services.

(BRB I hope this is allowed)

I see Scarbs already posting their first signing for next year...

Same can't be said for many other teams and can't wait to see teams social media posts throughout summer.

Ilkley seem to have lost a few maybe a difficult season ahead? Will York have to add a few in order to survive?

100% agree with your last sentence BRB, reckon you really should be wining NE2 at a canter to have a chance in NE1  (or adding half a dozen experienced lvl 4/5 players to the squad in the off season to survive).

NE2 to NE1 is a big step up and best of luck to your boys in managing it.

I watched the york Pock game and think you must have been speaking to some very one eyed Yorkie supporters BRB. If Pock had not had to play the game for 10 minutes with 12 v 15 i think they may well have won the game.

(Pock had 2 front rows yellow carded within a coupLe of minutes of each other so went to uncontested scrums. Pock had to therefore take off an extra player during the uncontested scrums time so they were down to 12 men for about 8 minutes)

Was a cracking game and agree York, by a fag paper, just about deserved the win but was nip and tuck and could have gone either way.
