To be fair to Salem it's not just them who do who have Ex RL Pro's playing, look at the league above Huddersfield have Gareth Widdop and Cleckheaton had Jarrod Sammut playing for them last season and there isn't any rule against it to be fair.

Big Eorl Crabtree is turning out for Huddersfield 3's most weeks! Don't think there's a payment involved though.

I think the message is getting lost in translation. The problem isn't about paying players, no matter what standard they've played at or how good they are.

Salem, simply get the brunt of it because of the crowdfunder. Look after your own first..

Example: Morley pay players, they currently have two ex RL championship players who are Jamaican internationals. But they aren't asking for donations from the public..
