I agree 5 games is nothing.....but you'd rather not be relegation fodder if it can be helped.. Two wins and it's all forgotten but right now you must be disappointed after all the talk (albeit discreetly) of Driffield expecting to be promotion favourites..

Who ever mentioned Driffield as promotion favourites? Finished 6th last season and 8th the season before.

Luckily a league isn't determined by the 1st 5 fixtures

I didn't take any notice but there was quite a lot of chatter floating over from the wolds.  I think Drif will come stronger...

There was a thread on every one of the Boards titled "Respect the Referee."
Just wondering if this comment ignores that request and what will the Ref think if he sees it?
"In truth, Scarborough should probably have won by at least two more scores but fluffed it at the last or were victims of some baffling referee decisions."

Mr Bandit, looking at Scarboroughs team sheet you seemed a tad thin (four subs, ratcliffe back etc) which makes the win evermore impressive. How many minutes did Foden get?

A poor attempt at mischief making.
"Bother!" said Pooh, as he found his smack had talc in it.

Heard that Foden played the second half and won the game

I do understand why you see it that way. However as soon as I read the original comment it jarred with me. The inference I took was that the ref was a bit of a "homer."
I thought it was worth calling out for that reason.

Not in the slightest.... selective quoting.
I doubt any referee would be offended by "baffling decisions" especially when followed by saying he had a good game. Mildly commenting on subjective decisions is part of the post match discussion. Being abusive, disrespectful or unkind to a ref isn't. I'm happy to help you out with your understanding.

Yes, several unavailable. There was an option to take another sub but with 3 senior teams out the leadership team decided it wasn't necessary. Foden didn't bring himself on.
Ratcliffe has enduring class.

It will be a number of weeks before we have all players available (unless more injuries)....so on that basis very happy with the result.

I assume you mean showing a bias to the home team rather than anything else??

Well that inference says more about you than anyone else!

A number of decisions in rugby are objective - an equal number are subjective and therefore open to interpretation. I can be baffled by an interpretation whilst still happily accepting the outcome.
