Just seen the Yorkshire shield result, I thought Flaggy had been suspiciously quiet on here recently...

To be fair I looked around for the score and only found it when Flaggy posted it in another thread on this forum.
He said Ribb were on the back foot in the first quarter and never recovered. Dont know if they were missing a few regulars.

The Lurker

Seen it in the R2 chat, classy response actually.

DrRuck

A fantastic result for all involved at Yarnbury and thank you to Flaggy's kind words on another thread - his relative silence is forgiven as I imagine he is busy finding some new pen pals over on the wrong side of the Pennines, fortunately I imagine a short hop over to the IoM from the Highveld will be no problem from a travel perspective

Locked Out

Congratulations to Yarnbury for a fitting end to a successful season and well done for what must have been a monumental effort against the Ribb Massive. Best wishes for life in Y1 and maybe be joining you soon? Just a rumour but heard that Ribb are following in Yarno's footsteps and commissioning the development of Settle International Airport to assist their globe trotting aspirations.

Flaggy

We would be doing Locked out but no local farmer will sell any flat land in the valley bottom for less than £100k per acre. That is stretching it a bit even for aristocrats like us at Ribb.
FORMERLY Ribbflagman.

Locked Out

Thought they might have donated for free, to be associated with what's soon to become North Yorkshire's senior club? Plus all the flat land around their is underwater for most of the year, so probably a non-starter. 😉

Flaggy

Very observant Locky. You must have seen the valley bottom flooded on your many scouting missions to our humble surroundings.
FORMERLY Ribbflagman.

Locked Out

I think we'll be sticking to Vale of York for scouting from now on Flaggy.

really disappointed to be transferred to the NW league, as we have always had great relations with you boys from Selby. Never mind. Who would ever have thought that the minnows from North Ribb would play the once mighty Waterloo, Birkenhead Park et al in a league fixture. I never thought i would see it in my lifetime. Maybe we collectively are doing something right and others not so!!!!!
Fingers crossed.
FORMERLY Ribbflagman.
