Bradford 0 - 28 Scarborough

Watch on Veo. Both defences strong but Scarborough had a bit more in attack.
Loving all rugby but especially at grassroots level.

Bradford Salem   0-28 Scarborough
Very good win for Scarborough away. Nothing more to add really.

Doncaster Phoenix 7-35 Old Brodleians
No real surprise here.

Malton and Norton 34-   10 Selby
This surprised me a bit with the size of the result, excellent for Malton - worrying for Selby.

Moortown 5-41 Pocklington
I understand that the home side were well understrength but still a statement result for Pock.

Morley 35-19 Old Crossleyans
This could be classed as a bit of surprise in the fact it seems made a good go of it - credit to them, maybe they've recruited?

Pontefract 25-27 Wetherby
As expected

Made a trip down to the Gannock today.  Malton showed some good promise for the season with some great flowing rugby and strong defence.

Selby had a strong start but soon faltered under Malton's attack and superior fitness.

Good mixture of young and old heads in the Malton team with apparently 100% of the team originating from Malton's junior setup.  Great start for the new skipper - putting a lot of the forum's naysayers back in their box.

Should be a good contest next week when Malton make a trip to the east coast.

Well not the result the lads wanted who played, but got to say Pock are a good side well drilled, with 2 No8's that carry well.
Onwards and upwards, good lads and Jack one of the coaches, great to catch up and chat shit.

Ponte vs Wetherby - tightly contested game, as expected a good physical battle.

Pontefract had a lot of the ball maybe 80% possession due to Wetherby's eagerness around the breakdown the referee had a good game but perhaps a little whistle happy.

Wetherby on the eye, looked the better side however will need to clean up their discipline.

Pontefract will be a tough game for anyone this season, expect both teams to in and around the top 3/4.

I went to watch Moortown Pocklington. Pocklington looked really good looked powerful across the whole team, there was a particularly impressive bit of defending early in the second half when Moortown looked like they were going to score. It was a tough day for Moortown but their openside and fullback looked great.
