Beverley v Dinnington - would usually back Beverley at home but I think Dinnington look well set to carry on their momentum from last season. Dinno +7

Leodiensian v Hullensians - a few changes for Leos this week, hopefully strengthening them otherwise could be another long day at the office. A long away day for Hullensians but will back them to continue on from last week. Ensians +7

Old Rishworthian v Harrogate Pythons - a return to the venue of possibly our worst performance of last season. Rish play their home ground well and will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing outing at Wath. We will have to raise our game here but I'll always back us. Pythons +7

Wensleydale v Wath Upon Dearne - hard to make too many judgements after one week but Wath are looking strong and Dale seeming set for another slow start. Wath +7

West Leeds v Goole - fascinating match up. 2 sides that like to play some rugby so could come down to who takes their chances. West Leeds -7

Yarnbury v Keighley - if Yarnbury are a similar side to when we faced them in Y2 then Keighley will cause them all sorts of problems in the forwards. Keighley also have some decent backs and a 10 that moves them about the field well so backing them to get across the line here. Keighley -7

Beverley 38 - 39 Dinnington
Leodiensians 20 - 31 Hullensians
Old Rishworthian 29 - 25 Pythons
Wensleydale 21 - 28 Wath
West Leeds 41 - 29 Goole
Yarnbury 15 - 25 Keighley

Don't know much about the Pythons game as have been at work but the lads did well to fight back from 18-3 down and apparently could have taken the game towards the end.

One point off on woff vs cheese but the rest were miles off...

Looks like it's going to be another cracker nacker of a season in Y1

Having caught up on the Pythons game video what an unbelievably frustrating watch. Pythons butchered an insane amount of quality attacking field position and made some bizarre decisions that cost us points both for and against. Despite that the momentum was with the pythons up until the end and we looked set to snatch it at the death before producing another brain fart and missing a touch kick that would have given us a 5m attacking lineout. Credit to Rish for converting the chances that they had, you can't afford not to be clinical at this level and that was the difference in the end.
