Some interesting results in week 1.

Be interested to see what everyone thinks about week 2!

Doncaster vs Pontefract - Both teams will want to bounce back after a an opening day loss. Ponte I expect will have too much.

Old Brods vs Crocs - On the hill, I expect Brods to have an easy afternoon. Home BP win.

Pocklington vs Morley - This will be a cracker, two big teams going toe to toe. Would it be a shock if Pock won? Morley just.

Wetherby vs Salem - If Salem have the same team out they did last week, there is only one winner. Wetherby BP win.

Scarborough vs Malton - Scarborough first game at home, it will be tough but can't see them losing this one.

Selby vs Moortown - Selby by a lot.

No Matagi or Pauli for Salem this year? Or do they have to wait until after Doncaster's season finishes on Sunday?

Apparently available from October onwards

Doncaster vs Pontefract - Ponte ran Wetherby close and will be hoping to get something out of this one. Too close for me to call - Draw

Old Brods vs Crocs - Brods will be too strong at home. Although Crocs were competitive last week (is that two away games in a week for crocs?) - Brods

Pocklington vs Morley - There have been loads of good reports about Pock and we know Morley have been actively recruiting. I have a feeling Pock will win quite easily. - Pock

Wetherby vs Salem - Salem defended reasonably well last week, but truth be known Scarborough could have won by 50 if they converted more of the many chances they had. Wetherby one of my tips for the top 3 so I'll go for them. - Wetherby

Scarborough vs Malton - Local derby so everything goes out of the window. Malton are always desperate to get one over Scarborough at Silver Royd. It could be their chance with the entire coaching setup bar the newest one and a number players away on a stag do in Spain (I know, I know 🤦!). So who knows how this one will go, pleased to say that Scarborough, thanks to the youth setup, has a bigger squad this year. All three teams playing Malton.

Selby vs Moortown - The news last week is that Selby have lost a number of players to other cmubs and moortown had a load missing last week. I think I go for a surprise away win. - Moortown

Doncaster vs Pontefract - Don't know much about either of these sides this season. However, based on last season you would expect the Ponte pack to bully Doncaster and provide a platform for the backs. Ponte win.

Old Brods vs Crocs - Judging by the opening weekend results you would expect Brods to win comfortably. However, you can never write Crocs off in a Halifax derby. Close home win.

Pocklington vs Morley - I expected Morley to put more points on Crocs last week and it seems as if Pock started with a bang to make their presence felt. Always a tough place to visit and if the rain comes then a big Pock pack can always be difficult to handle. Home win.

Wetherby vs Salem - expecting a routine home win in this game. Salem without their overseas boys are a bang average side.

Scarborough vs Malton - tipping Scarborough for the title this year. They look to have retained their key players and it looks as if their youth system is bringing through some fresh talent. Malton aren't a bad side and obviously played well last week but can be a little one dimensional in the past and therefore think Scarborough have the edge. Home win.

Selby vs Moortown - surprising results for both these sides in round 1 and really could go either way. I'm going for a home win for the side relegated from Regional 1 last season.

Oldandslow

Donny P v Ponte – Assuming the Ponte team make it thru the traffic heading to the Ledger, Bonus Point win for Ponte.

Old Brods v Old Crocs – Normally hard to predict the result of a Halifax derby but not this one. I can only see a bonus point win for Brods.

Pock v Morley – We will see how strong Pock are. I'm expecting a really close game with Morley winning but with Pock getting a bonus point or two.

Wetherby v Brad Salem – Another  close game but just think home advantage will make the difference Wetherby win.

Scarborough v M&N – MOTD for me and yet another close game. Home advantage just making the difference. Scarborough win but M&N getting a bonus point.

Selby v Moortown – Selby bonus point home win.

Ribbflagman

At least you havent used the old "Fishing Trip" bait BRB. Good luck.

I have so much I could use but they get so easily triggered 🫢

ponte animal

Donny P v Ponte – Not a good result for Donny at the weekend whereas there were plenty of positives for Ponte. On that form a slender away win.

Old Brods v Old Crocs – Think Crocs will be better than last season but still in the lower reaches. Brods ok, especially at home. Home win with BP's

Pock v Morley – Pock seem to be on the up, Morley have strengthened. Close but home advantage to count just.

Wetherby v Brad Salem – Wetherby with ease unless Salem have some additions since last week.

Scarborough v M&N – Great result for Malton last week and should be very competitive here. Scabs to justify their pre season favourites tag though with BP's.

Selby v Moortown – Difficult. Both had poor results last week but was it them who were poor or good opposition? Selby a shadow of last seasons squad and fancy a sneaky away win.

Forty Twenty

Donny P vs Ponte - Likely to be a heavy game this based off week 1. going to go with Ponte by a few

Old Brods vs Crocs - Brods on the hill to win the halifax derby

Pocklington vs Morley - Expect Pock to get bought back down to earth this week after playing an understrength Town side. Morley to show their class BP win

Wetherby vs Salem - Suggestions of the brown envelopes not on show at Salem yet points towards a heavy Wetherby win

Scarborough vs M&N - Scarborough back at home try BP for both teams but scabs to run away in the end

Selby vs Moortown - Who knows with either of these teams, If Moortown have players back i fancy them to nick an away win.

old style prop

Looking like a decent potential for a clean sweep of home wins this week.

Donny P vs Ponte - Pre season injuries have hit Ponte a bit hard so going for Donny to take this one at home.

Old Brods vs Crocs - Going for anouther home win here with Brods taking the points here

Pocklington vs Morley - Tough one here but feel like ive got to back one away team so going for Morley to take those valuable away winning points.

Wetherby vs Salem - back our lads as always, Wetherby win

Scarborough vs M&N - Malton would sure love to get the bragging rights here but backing boro to get the points at home

Selby vs Moortown - Would expect Selby at home to bag the points here
